I awoke from a deep sleep and noticed that I was no longer lying on Alex but next to him. I gazed over at Alex sleeping peacefully beside me.
He looked so gorgeous and innocent when he slept. I reached over and gently stroked his cheek ignoring the feeling that there was something in the room with us. I felt Alex stir next to me. I kissed him on his soft marshmallowy lips. I knew Alex wasn't going anywhere and neither was I.
Alex smiled at me and gently placed his arms around me, holding me close. I took this sign as a promise to never leave me even in crisis. I turned in his embrace to see the light of love glistening in his eyes.
