Carlton explained that he had been dared to hide in our closet. Not knowing that it belonged to Alex and I, he took the dare and got stuck in the closet.
Turned out the slamming noises I heard before I hit him were Carlton attempting to escape the wardrobe. I apologised for hitting him with the baseball bat and told him to scream next time.
I let Carlton go and sat on Alex. He smiled at me and said I was his Princess of beauty. We kissed for a moment letting time stand still. I got off Alex and went to get some ice for Carlton to soothe the bruising around his jaw from where I hit him with the baseball bat.
