*Stormie's POV*
Mark and I were sitting in the hospital lobby waiting to see how Madison was doing. I hope she is alright. Her mother committed suicide shortly after both of the kids were taken away. She had no one left not even her brother he was killed by their mother because he sat up. "Stormie she will be alright. I promise" Mark said to me. I couldn't do anything but think about how bad it is to be alone at 13 and with no one to go to. I looked into Mark's eyes and said "We have to adopt her." Mark nodded in agreement "where do we sign" He smiled and hugged me as the her doctor walked into the lobby. We looked up at him as he spoke "You may go see Madison but she is very fragile and emotional right now be careful of what you say. She has a mild concussion and doesn't know her own name. She is in room 117" He nodded and walked off to another family. I stood up walking towards the room to see Madison asleep on the bed, covered with bruises. My heart ached for the little girl Mark walked in behind me and sat down on the couch in her room. " She reminds me of Del when she sleeps so sweet and innocent." I ran a hand through her hair and held her hand. Mark was so busy filling out all of the paper work and changing her last name to Lynch I guess he didn't notice. Madison woke up a few minutes later. I looked at her "Hi sweet girl" I smiled as she was still in a delicate state of mind. She looked up at me, "mom?" she said holding my hand tight.. "what happened?" I wasn't about to dare tell her the truth she wouldn't be able to handle it right now. I thought for a minute and thought back to when Ross had a concussion from hockey. "You fell off counter" I said waiting quietly for her response."Oh..when do I get to go home?" she asked nicely with a slight grin on her face. "In a few hours. Go back to sleep I'm not leaving anywhere without you." I smiled and kissed the top of her head. I saw her smile and slowly start to fall asleep. I told Mark to call Riker so he did and Riker didn't answer. "That child is always asleep" I laughed softly with Mark as he started to drift off, but me being a mom to 6 now I have energy that kicks in when I need it most.
