Wei Wuxian sat on the floor, a cup of tea in one hand and his head resting in the other, elbow propped on the table while he watched Lan Zhan sleep. It was already two hours past his normal rising time, a brisk seven in the morning and he was starting to feel impatient and a little worried.

He sighed and wondered how he was supposed to react to last night's events. He wasn't angry though he couldn't say he wasn't bothered at all. The visual Lan Zhan and his brother made was something he wouldn't mind forgetting... forever.

He looked to the bed when he heard soft mumbling. He had left the other a mess last night, not wanting to risk waking him and his drugged stupor returning. He heard more mumbling along with his name and he rolled his eyes. How could he possibly be mad when he knew he meant everything to Lan Zhan? He was mostly worried about the other's reaction as it was sure to be a pain in his ass.

He heard a groan and saw Lan Zhan leaning forward, holding his head. He watched as the other took in his surroundings, light emanating inside the room, dawn having come and go. He took in his state of undress and his brow creased. "Wei Ying?"

"I'm here," he said unmoving as he was unsure how fast memories would intrude upon the other.

"What time is it?"

"Past seven already. How are you feeling?" He asked.

Lan Zhan looked down at his state of undress. "Confused. Did I drink last night?" He asked, feeling his head to make sure his hair was still intact along with his forehead ribbon. It wasn't.

"Not exactly," Wei Ying answered before standing and helping Lan Zhan sit up more fully. He watched as the other pulled his inner-robes around himself tightly and he sat down next to him on the bed.

"I feel––"

"Like hell?" Wei Ying helpfully supplied.

"I was going to say ill but 'like hell' works too," Lan Zhan said with a small smile.

Wei Wuxian couldn't help but chuckle at the joke. "Do you remember anything?" He asked cautiously and held his breath.

"I remember walking around town and coming back to the inn..."

Wei Ying sighed. "Do you remember anything about that?" He asked, pointing at the remnants of the broken jar sitting on the corner of the table. Lan Zhan reached forward as if to touch it. "Don't," he said, grabbing the other's hand and holding it. "Lan Zhan, do you know what that is?"

Looking slightly confused he answered. "It's an emulsion of oil and water made to soothe the skin from dryness and other ailments––"

Wei Wuxian couldn't help it, he fell backward grabbing his stomach and he laughed hard. Of course he didn't know what it was. "Lan Zhan! That is amethyst lotus," he said looking for any recognition. He sighed. "Its an aphrodisiac, a strong one."

Lan Zhan's eyes widened and he shook his head. "I...I didn't know. I just thought... it reminded me of you and I thought you might like it."

Wei Ying held his hand and rubbed the back of his knuckles trying to soothe. "You bought it for me?"

Lan Zhan nodded and the rest of his irrational jealousy dissipated. He heard the other clear his throat and he looked over to him.

"Wei Ying... did we... did I...?" he asked, looking at the broken jar

"No we didn't," he said, unable to keep a perfectly straight face. Relieved that Lan Zhan didn't seem to remember anything beyond when he wasn't afflicted he stood. "ZeWu-Jun and Jiang Cheng will be waiting and I'm starving. Let's get you presentable."
