Yancy gets trapped in a closet thanks to a certain glitch.
Trigger warning, claustrophobia.
Yancy was in his room, laying on his bed. He stared at the ceiling, boredom apparent on his face. Who knew that life outside prison was so......uneventful. With a sigh, He got off his bed. Maybe he can find his deck cards to pass the time. He walked over to his closet, opening it.
"Yancy isn't it?" Yancy was startled out of his thoughts. He quickly turning around to see a man. He had green hair and was glitching all over the place. He also had a very noticable scar on his neck.
Yancy remembered Dark's words about being cautious around someone with the same description. He realizes that this must be the Anti there were warning him about.
With an unamused look, Yancy crossed his arms. "Yeah, what's it to ya?" He asked, annoyance laced in his voice.
"Woah chill, I just wanted to get to know my new puppets" Anti responder, a sickening grin on his face.
That made Yancy lift an eyebrow, "excuse me?"
"You know, someone I can toy with. Break"
Yancy just scoffed and rolled his eyes, no way he was going to let some glitch scare him. He was Yancy after all, the tough murderer.
"Whatever, do youse mind? I'm kind of busy..." Yancy mumbled, turning away from Anti and back to his closet.
Anti's smile faltered into a scowl before quickly going back to a grin. Looks like he has to teach this new puppet a lesson.
Yancy was starting to rummage through his closet, when something slammed into him. The force caused him to hit the wall in the closet with a grunt. The door was then shut, throwing Yancy into darkness.
Yancy started to panic a bit as he jiggled the doorknob. Locked. "H-hey this isn't funny! Let me out" Yancy tried to sound tough, but took notice of the stutter in his voice.
Anti simply giggled in response, "what does the puppet hate small spaces?"
Yancy banged on the door, begging to be let out. That caused Anti's grin to widen.
"No one's around.....maybe I should leave you in there..then maybe you won't defy me next time."
Yancy's eyes widened and he pounded on the door louder, "no p-please!" He pleaded.
Anti just simply laughed before disappearing into thin air, leaving yancy alone.
Yancy could feel his heart beating out of his chest as he continued to bang on the door. He hoped that his cries will reach someone, and they'll come help.
After a few minutes Yancy gave up. Whimpering he slid down on the floor. Fresh hot tears formed at his eyes before they started streaming down his face. He brought his knees up to his chest and squished his eyes shut, the experience bringing back some unwanted memories.
"Please warden, I didn't start the fight it was-"
"SHUT UP!"
Yancy flinched at the warden's yelling, staying quiet. He was being dragged by his arms to solitary. The warden thought it was his fault about the fight in the cafeteria, but it wasn't.
Finally the arrived at the room and Yancy started to shake, " no, please. I promise I'll be good. Please"
"Enough, you're pleads won't change my mind. You're spending some time in solitary until you learn how to behave."
The warden opened the door and shoved Yancy inside. When he closed the door, it left Yancy isolated, alone. Yancy let out a shaky breath and sat on the ground. He whimpered as he curled in on himself.
"Please, don't leave me alone" Yancy whimpered, rocking back and forth.
//////////
Illinois was walking down the hallway, artifact in hand. He was excited and wanted to show Yancy.
When he came upon Yancy's door, he knocked, "Yancy you in there?"
No answer
'Is he gone?' Illinois thought to himself as he turned the knob. It was unlocked. Carefully, illinois opened the door, "Yancy?"
The light was turned on, but Yancy was no where to he seen. Illinois walked further into the room.
"Yancy?"
That's when illinois noticed something. It was soft and low but he could hear it. It sounded like someone was......crying?
Illinois searched for the origin of the sound when he came upon Yancy's closet. He pressed his ear hearing the sobbing get louder.
With a confused face he turned the knob seeing that it was locked, on the outside?
'Who has a lock on the outside of their closet?' Illinois asks himself as he unlocked it.
He opened the door slowly, poking his head through. After that he opened the door all the way, casting a light on the scene before him.
Yancy was sitting on the floor, curled tightly in a ball. He was sobbing and whispering about how he'll be good and how he was sorry. The scene broke Illionios' heart.
"Yancy?"
Yancy's head shot up, his eyes red and puffy. He sniffled thinking that the warden was finally going to let him out. You can imagine his surprise when he saw standing there wasn't the warden, but illinois.
"I-Illy?"
"Yeah, Yancy it's me" illinois said slowly, very aware of Yancy's claustrophobia, "come here"
Slowly Yancy unfurled from himself. He got up shakily and Illinois helped him out of the closet. Once Yancy realized that he was okay, relief washed over him. He rammed into illinois, crushing him in a hug.
Illinois just simply rubbed Yancy's back as he cried. They stayed in the hug even when Yancy's sobs were reduced to whimpers.
"What happened yancy?" Illinois asked one Yancy stopped crying.
"I was just trying to- to find the cards you g-gave me. But then a guy showed up and was b-bothering me. I think he was the guy everyone was warning us about"
"Anti?"
Yancy nodded, "he-he called me his puppet and when I ignored him. He pushed me into the closet and locked it. I-I couldn't get out. It felt like, like...."
"Like you were back in solitary in prison?" Illinois asked and yancy replied with a nod, his head down.
"Hey it's okay" illinois encouraged, squeezing Yancy, "you're okay now. How about we find you're cards and play a game. Would you like that?"
"Y-yeah"
Illinois nodded before letting go of Yancy. He quickly walked over to the closet and rummaged through the closet. Once he found the cards he and Yancy played cards games. Yancy didn't even think about the closet for the rest of the day.
