Qurikless (Izuku x reader)

A Roaring Fight!

Y/n POV
I sat there nervously honestly too nervous to notice that the fight between Sero and Todo was already overt. Bakugo tapped my shoulder and brought me back to the world.

"Your up good luck quirkless" he ruffled my hair before I sprinted off into the stage... Denku was already being announced as I made it just on time.

"ON THIS SIDE IS THE QUIRKLESS WONDER OF THE HERO COURSE L/N Y/N!" president Mic yelled and it got silent.

"Great now everyone knows..." I mumbled as I got into a fighting stance.

"Hey l/n" I looked at kaminari as he spoke

"Yes?" I tilted my head.

"Don't let me hurt you too bad... let me know if I need to back off." He rubbed the back of his neck.

That ticked me off but I played it cool. " why would you need to do that? I bet I could beat you without a quirk!" I happily spoke and he nodded his head.

"BATTLE BEGIN!"

Kaminari charged forward and tried to shock me. He had lightning covering his arms  that's when the fear caught up to me and I froze. He is going to shock me if I don't move. I started to shake

"D*MN IT Y/N MOVE DONT YOU DARE MAKE ME LOOK LIKE A WEAK A**!!!" It was bakugo.

"COME ON Y/N WE BELIEVE IN YOU!" Izu...

Everything was going in slow motion as I dodged last second and placed a kick on his back sending him flying.  I started taking deep breaths trying to lower my rising fear.. it was easy and I could feel myself trembling. But I needed to win. I needed to.

I quickly ran forward and started to attack non-stop I can't give him time to summon up more of that horrid lightning soon enough he was out of bonds after I landed a punch to the gut. I stood there breathing heavily before coming to my senses.

"KAMINARI!" I ran forward helping him up "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry! I got scared and couldn't hold back! Are you ok?" He gave me a thumbs up.

"WINNER WAS MS. L/N!!!" The crowd went wild it isn't everyday you see a quirkless person beat a hero in trading.

I helped Kaminari to Recovery girl and as soon as he hit the bed he was out like a light and Recovery girl looked at me. "You can stop forcing yourself to smile you know... it's a safe place in here"

I looked at her in pure disbelief "how?" She pointed to my eyes I reached up and felt I didn't even realize I was crying.

She sighed "they were there that whole fight dearie..." she paused "it takes a lot of courage to face your fears like that... especially if your opponent is gifted more then you in a power you fear."

Deku pov.
Y/n's fog started and she stood there like a deer in headlights completely frozen I could hear people whispering about she was about to get her butt kicked and asking how she mad it into the hero course. I was focused to the point when someone hand was placed on my shoulder I didn't notice.

"Deku, why is Quirkless idiot not moving?" I sighed realizing it was Kacchan.

"Well kacchan y/n is deathly afraid of lightning and thunder to the point she's either frozen or her body moves on its own to get away." I pointed to her "see she's trembling"

At this point Kacchan was yelling at her and so was I I saw her body untense and she started to fight back. It didn't take long for her to make quick work of kaminari but tears were slipping out of her eyes the whole fight. She was terrified.

As soon as she left my sight I ran to the recovery room. I wanted to go in but paused.

"You can stop forcing yourself to smile you know... it's a safe place in here." It was recovery girl. Was she talking to Y/n?

"How?" The other voice was strained but it was indeed y/n

It took a second again to hear anything "there were there the whole fight dearie" it went silent "it takes a lot of courage to face your fears like that... especially if your opponent is gifted more then you in a power you fear."

At this point I opened the door and walked in, I notice y/n tense up again and Recovery girl looked away disappointed. Y/n turned around with a smile on her face "I did it izu!" She sounded so happy, so convincing that nothing had happened before hand.

"Good job Y/n!" I walked forward and gave her a hug. It was scary I never would know you were faking if I hadn't heard that. My grip on her tightened on her subconsciously.

"Let's get going alright? Iida it up next." She nodded her head and as we left I swear I heard a sigh come from recovery girl. I knew she was upset y/n went right back to faking.

We both walked forwards and and made our way to the chairs watching the next few fights until we made it to me and Todoroki's fight.

I watched them both go at each other like wolves and it seemed like anyways game until Todo used his fire then the teachers had to intervene and stop the fight. In the end izu was KO'ed by the fight and it was time for my next battle as I entered the arena.

"YOU KNOW HER YOU LOVE HER THE QUIRKLESS QUEEN, L/N Y/N!!" This time was different as everyone cheered for me.

Iida came out and we both got into fighting stances. " I won't go easy on you L/n."

"I expected nothing less from you Iida!"

It was silent.

"BATTLE BEGIN!"
