"Kill him and you can go back to Theo." My neck stings. Peter's in front of me and there's a knife to my neck, but something's different. Adrenaline and energy that wasn't here before flows through me. She ate. He wasn't expecting it so it was easy to maneuver out of his hold turn the knife on him. Blood seeps from his neck and I can't help but smile. Serves him right for treating her like this.

"How many of you are here?" I ask.

"Enough." He answers.

"Come on Peter let's go." There's something off about this guy. I'm not going to leave her here with him. He looks crazed and his eyes are wild.

"She bit you." I whisper. It can't be, not with one of them. But it's there. He's not crazy he's confused. He loves her. Is that why she bit him? With one eye on him I grab a blanket from the bed and punch out the window. "Go Peter. I'll catch up. Call my...call the number Theo gave you." It feels weird to talk about myself like that.

"I'm not leaving you." I lean closer so only he can hear me.

"It's me, Theo. She'll be fine, trust me. She won't be if you don't get away." He looks confused for a minute before jumping out the window. The hunter doesn't seem to care that he's getting away. He's just looking at me funny.

"What is this? You're not the same." I want to kill him right here and now but I need more information from him.

"Where's Nathaniel?"

"How did she do this? You're the other. I can see it in your eyes...I know what you've been doing." He's not attacking me. Is it because I'm in her body? Either way he's not going to tell me anything and I can't risk more of them coming in here. They will be more willing to hurt her.

"I'll be taking her now. Next time we meet I will kill you." I stumble forward. One moment I'm jumping out the window and the next I'm back in front of Joey and Alexander. I rub my jaw. Did someone punch me?

"That creepy bastard loves her." I growl.

"We know. She told us he felt something when she bit him." Joey says frowning at me. I don't know much about that. Just what everyone else knows. Most of that knowledge was lost a long time ago.

"Did she?" I can't bring myself to say it. Alexander shakes his head.

"you guys need to be careful. It's hard to conceive but something tells me you guys..."

"It's impossible. No ones heard of-"

"Not true, four were born this past year and those are just the ones I've heard of."

"Okay well forgive me if that's not the first thing on my mind right now." My cell rings. "Peter?"

"We need to know where you are and fast. There's not a lot of them but that Adrian guy is pissed."

"We? She's with you?"

"Did you really think I'd leave without her?" I smile. Then again maybe her being with her friends is a good thing. I was hoping I could get her farther before we switched back. I tell him how to find us and tell those with me to pack. Those hunters will probably be hot on their trail.

"They're out?" Joey asks.

"She just happened to be in a situation that worked for me." The question is why she didn't take advantage of it? Was it because of Nathaniel or something else? A commotion outside starts up. Were they that close? I can't help but smile. If if he hadn't switched bodies I would have found her. I meet her at the tree line. She tackles me in a hug and I barely manage to stay on my feet. As happy as I am to see her we need to get moving.
