The blonde wolf glared at yet another happy couple that passed him on his way to his 'spot'. Why couldn't he have a mate like the rest of his pack?

Pfft.

It's not like he wanted one anyway.

They'd just get in the way of him becoming the next top alpha of his pack.

Still, he found himself wondering what his life would be like if he had gotten a mate. Was there a chance he would've been happier? A stronger alpha, even? Would he have had someone to love? Or would they truly just be a nuisance.

"Goddammit," he uttered to himself, angry he got lost in his thoughts again. He hated that he was upset about this.

"Oi, wolf, watch where you're going," a sharp, monotone voice snapped, bringing Katsuki's attention from the ground up to him. The vampire and wolf had just narrowly missed each other as they were walking in opposite directions along the small creek.

Something caused the blonde to swerve and nearly fall into the water but was luckily saved by Shouto's vampiric reflexes. A pale, slender hand wrapped around Bakugou's wrist and he was pulled into Todoroki's chest, suddenly starting up into hetero(homo)chromatic eyes.

"What's your problem, blood-sucker?" Katsuki snapped, his bushy blonde tail swaying slowly as if to say 'don't fuck with me right now'. The blonde was trying to ignore the weird fuzzy feeling in his stomach, and he was doing that by being an angry bitch. He couldn't care less if this fucker was royalty. If the prince wanted to be a rude bitch, then Katsuki was gonna be one too.

The prince scowled. "Listen. Why don't you go on your merry way down the side of the creek before I rip your throat out?"

Katsuki scoffed.

"Oh, just 'cause you're a big, bad vampire prince I'm supposed to be scared of you?" The blonde snapped back, mockingly snarling the prince's title just to get under his skin.

"No, you should be scared of me because I haven't fed in two weeks and I'm not feeling particularly good right now," Todoroki spat in an annoyed tone. He didn't want to deal with this shit right now regardless, let alone with his mate.

Yeah.
