"It looks like some kinda futuristic city! Maybe they can help us." Nathan smiled. In the distance stood tall, glowing, mushroom-like houses, made of what looked like some sorta shinny metal.
"Im not so sure if these guys are gonna be friendly to 2 strangers that just popped up outta nowhere and barging into their land. Plus we dont know anything about these guys! We could be walking into our own graves!"
"Well, were already trapped here anyway. Might as well give it a chance." Nathan replied as he started to make his way down the rocks below them. Jackson sighed as he followed Nathan down.
"Fine just watch your step Nate." Making their way towards the city, Nathan would look up at the sky through the tree branches.
"Not many stars tonight arent there?" Nathan muttered. Jackson looked up. The sky was pitch black, with thick grey clouds covering up the entire sky.
"I guess your right! Although the clouds here are crazy!" Jackson exclaimed as Nathan laughed as they reached a clearing and appered to be in a park.
White benches were everywhere with lights under the handles, even the pathways looked more like a catwalk then concrete. "Woah, look at this place!" Nathan cheered as he moved closer to area. Jackson joined him as he walked around the area.
"Think anyones out here-" Nathan chirped before stopping in his tracks to stare at the group of people. Their skin was colorful as were their eyes, and appeared to have a few more inches on them then the boys, and they all wore the same jacket and slacks, but just in different colors.
Both boys started to back up but stopped in confusion as the group broke into laughter.
"What kinda uniform is that!" 1 of them bursted out.
"You look like a total weirdo!" Another replied. The friends looked at eachother and shrugged at the group. "Stop laughing at them, Ziyan!" An unknown voice called out.
"Great, here comes the buz-kills." Ziyan sighed. As another group of kids most of them about the same height as the boys, started to walk towards the other group. The group looked very similar to the other group, just different hair styles and cloths.
"Now you boys better get outta here before I call the chief on you boys!" A young boy yelled out. The groups gave a moment of silence before the bigger kids back down, and walked away.
"You ok, kid?" A girl asked walking over to them with the rest of the group.
"Uh yeah. So, who are you guys?" Nathan muttered.
"Well, Im Elne. This is Reverie, Quill, Ryan, and Cosmos! Together we're the Reflections!"  The girl cheered as the rest of the groups faces turned pink from embarrassment. The boys stared at the group, leaving there faces in pure confusion.
"Ok, uh. Pardon me, but im never gonna remeber that name! So." Jackson paused walking over to each member. "Reverie I think, right?" He nodded. "Ima call you Rider, is that ok?" Rider shrugged. "Thanks Rider. Alright so we have Rider, and ima call you- uh actually your names are all things I can remember." Jackson ended giving the group a thumbs up.
"Wow Elne," Rider sighed. "I think you actually just found someone more weirder then us!"
"Be nice, Reverie!" Quill nudged. Her skin was a light blue that matched her eyes, and had short dark hair. While Rider was a darker yellow color, with spiked black hair and a bandana over his head.
"Cmon guys, lets just get along! Follow us you to." Cosmos yelled as he waved over to the group to follow him. Cosmos was a pale purple color, with darker purple hair that was formed into an a squared afro-like shape. Ryan had greenish- lime color, but his eyes were a neon yellow and had a messed up kinda fluffy styled hairdo. And finally, Elne had a pinkish skin, with yellow eyes, and long strait pinkish-red hair. Everyone followed Cosmos as they went down the streets  of the glowing city.
"So, uh. What class of community are you in guys in anyway?" Ryan asked as he looked over to Nathan.
"Uh, what class of community am I in? Heh, uh yeah, bout that. You see uh." Nathan fumbled to speak, looking at Jackson for help. Jackson sighed.
"Im not sure how to tell you this, but we're not sure what you mean by 'Class of community'."
"Well surely you know! Everyone has a class! For example im considered a Serbian! You can tell just by looking at me." Ryan replied pointing one hand at his arm.
"Maybe he hit his head to hard." Cosmos whispered to Elne.
"No no no! Its not that. Its just well. We kinda arent from here. We got teleported here by mistake, and we dont know where we are." The group turned to stare at them and bursted into laughter seconds later.
"Ive heard of a lot of excuses before, but this one is probley the worst answer ever!" Laughed Elne. "Now cmon, be real! Lets try somthing else. Where do you live."
"Florida." Jackson replied.
The gang stopped laughing and stare again.
"Are you being serious right now?" Ryan spoke in a more strean tone.
"Yeah, I know it sounds! But we really dont know where we are!" Nathan pleaded. Everyone got silent, and started to give eachother weird looks.
"Well it would explain the look." Quill muttered. Cosmos sighed.
"If what your saying is true, then your definatly not in the right place."
"Erm, not sure how to tell you this but, earth blew up years ago." Elne muttered. The boy's jaws dropped wide. Neither could beleive that the world they lived was gone, and what happened!
"Fix your mouth, we're here." Rider scolded, approaching a building. The boys shut their mouths as he opened the door to show the mountains of staires that layed ahead.
"Reverie! Is that you?" A voice called from above. Rider's face turned a bright red in embarrassment as he muttered a slight, Im home. He then gestured to follow him, as they quietly  ran upstairs and pointed to run across the gap that led into the family room. Everyone made it across, but as Rider ran he was stopped to hear his name called. Rider sighed as he nodded them to a door and walked into the family room. Jackson turned to the door and opened it to find what appeared to look like a meeting room. Multiple posters were on the walls with a small circle table and chairs surrounding it.
"Woah, neat set up!" Nathan laughed.
"This is our club room!" Elne exclaimed proudly. "Welcome to the Reflections little headquarters!"
"Elne! Didnt we tell you to stop calling it that!" Sighed Ryan.
"No no, Keep it! I like it!" Nathan smiled. Everyone began to sit down while Quill and Cosmos pulled up extra chairs, and sat down.
"So, your really from earth?" Quill began. They nodded. "Cool! How'd you do it?"
"We got sucked into a portal after some jerks activated it by accident."
Jackson slouched.
"So where is it now?" There was no response. Rider would've walked in.
"Sorry about that. My family caught me up in something."
"Its ok Reverie, come sit down." Elne waved over a seat as he grabbed a chair, and settled it with the group.
"Well, we can talk about this another time. So, why call yourselves reflections?" Jackson asked.
"Well, people around here are uh. Different."
"You see, people are more worried about themselves then others." Cosmos added on. Rider sighed.
"But us on the other hand are the opposite, we would rather stand up to others then watch someone take the fall."
"Which is why we're the 'Reflections' since were the counter version of all the other people!" Elne bursted out. Jackson and Nathan got quiet, as the rest of group glanced confused and worried looks to eachother.
"Is something wrong?" Ryan murmured.
"Well." Nathan started. "We had some people back where we're from who did something similar, but we didn't really help them." His words drifted off and room was again quiet.
"Sometimes saying the honest truth, may not be what they want, but what they need." Elne spoke out. Jackson paused for a bit thinking over it in his head when a voice called out telling them they had to go home now.
"Good talk guys, ill cya you all tommorrow!" Ryan nodded to the group while getting up from his seat.
"Yeah, bye guys!"Quill and Comos waved as they walked out of the room.
"Night everyone!" The boys smiled as Rider held the door open saying goodbye until everyone left.
"Hey uh, Rider."
"Yes?"
"Is it alright if we stay the night? Nathan and I dont really have a place to go in this world." Rider sighed as he  signaled to follow him out the room. They walked down the hallway till they came acrossed a door covered in holographic looking posters with some rich guy on the front, and a sign on the door that read 'REVERIE ONLY'.
"Ill tell them that your staying for the night to help finish a project, and in the morning we can play it out like we crashed out." Rider sighed as they walked inside. His room was a grey color with a tall window going straight across his wall, and gears and tools were scattered everywhere. The bed was messy, and a bunch of posters were hung on the wall. "Welcome to my room." Rider would say as he walked in. "Sorry for the mess, im not neat when it comes to my work."
"Whacha working on?" Nathan asked.
"Tell ya later." He sighed as he struggled to pull out a blanket that was ontop of a generator. Nathan walked over and started to help pull the blanket off. Jackson turned to look at them only to notice the generator was about to fall overtop on them both, and quickly dashed over to hold the generator up as they finaly managed to get the blanket out.
"Heh, thanks Jack." Nathan smiled as he gave a sigh of relief.
"I got your back, remenber?" He laughed. Nathan joined him as Rider just stood there.
"Done yet?" Rider asked.
"Sorry bout that Rider, its just a joke we have." Nathan replied.
"I dont get why its so funny, but ok." Rider said akwardly. He went back to brushing away some of the gears and layed out the blanket for them, while throwing some pillows on it.
"There, just sleep opposite directions and you'll be fine." The boys gave a thumbs up and sat down on the blanket.
"Night Rider, night Nathan."
"Night Jack, night Rider."
"Night guys." Rider turned off the lights. Hours past as Jackson twisted and turned till he finally got up. It was still dark outside, and He realized that Nathan was still sound asleep, but no Rider in sight. Jackson slowly crept to the door and exited the room. Walking down the hall, he noticed the many pictures hung up against the wall. The only one that really drew his attention was a picture of what looked like Rider's family photo, but with another person he hadn't seen before. Jackson paused to look more into it before feeling someone was nearby and decided to keep walking. In the living room he could make out another person was in the room looking out the window. Jackson started to walk over to it.
"Sorry, I didnt mean to wake you." Rider sighed.
"Oh, it wasnt you. Just had a rough night."
"So heh, you and your brother are pretty close huh?"
"Nathan? Oh, were not brothers! Just close friends." Jackson replied. Rider scuffed at the comment.
"Most people only worry for themselves. So maybe you are one of us." Jackson stayed quiet.
"Well, if you need someone to talk to about anything, by all means im here!"
"Heh thank bud." Rider replied. Jackson nodded and began to walk away.
"Hey uh, I never got your name."
Jackson turned around and smiled.
"Call me Jack." Rider nodded as Jackson left the room. Rider looked out the window one last time before walking back to the room. After all, tommorrows a school day.
