"Hi" Liam replied, still astonished.

"Well, let's get to work" Leo replied, clapping his hands together.

Together, Leo and Liam ran out the door of the hospital and ran down the back alley. Liam handed Leo his sword and axe and kept his own sword and spade. Like perfect mirrors they strapped them to there belts. They crept through the shadows like liquid flowing, and when they encountered daylight they darted through it like lightning.

"It's getting dark, we don't have much time before the monsters." Liam pointed out.

"Darn! I was hoping to get out of here before nightfall." Leo replied, frustrated but still speaking cheerfully.

"You always seem to be cheerful, even when it's a time when one shouldn't be. Why is that?" Liam questioned Leo.

"Oh you think I'm only cheerful? Well I'll show you." Leo replied, with white swirls flying around him. They lifted him so that his feet were the same level as the roof of the building behind them. Then Leo fell to the ground, but instead of hurting himself, he rolled on the ground just in front of Liam. He stood up, and the vibe he sent out was sickening. When he spoke a hollow emptiness flowed within.

"How do you like me now?" He asked with a small chuckle.

"Horribly, but I guess that's kinda like me." Liam replied, stepping back.

"Oh yeah, show me." Leo challenged.

"Myle! Let's show Leo what you can do!" Liam thought, directing it at Myle.

Liam fell to the ground, changing Leo back to his original state of mind. Liam choked 4 or 5 times before standing back up, his eyes closed and his head bowed.

"Liam! Are you there! Liam!" Leo yelled.

"I'm sorry, Liam isn't here right now, please try again later, but I'm Myle, and I can take a message for him." Myle (or Liam, just with Myle controlling his mind) eerily said to Leo.

"I don't have a message for Liam, and I want you to get out of his head." Leo replied.

With one swift motion, Myle pulled the sword of his belt, charged at Leo, pinned him to the wall, and held the sword to Leo's throat.

"Just like I want to know who your - alter ego or split personality or whatever - is!" Myle yelled through clenched teeth.

"Split personality, and his name is Maximus, or Max for short, and you should BACK OFF!" Leo yelled.

"And if I don't" Myle replied coldly.

"This!" Leo yelled back. He pushed his hair out of the way of his left eye, and what Myle saw was something he will never forget.

Where Leo's left eye shoud've been, was a large, gaping hole, right where his hair would usually cover.

Leo's eye was gone.
