Apocalypse Book 1 The Beginning

Chapter 1 The Beginning

It was a peaceful day. I was working on a test in math and I was halfway done when the teacher said I had five minutes left.

A couple of minutes later I turned in my test and started to read a book. Then the principal came on a talked over the speaker.

"Attention everyone,we are going into a lockdown,this is not a drill." The principal told us.

The teacher told us to go into the lockdown procedure so we all went to the corners of the room.

"I'm scared." A girl said.

"SHUT UP." Someone said.

"Everyone, be quiet there is no need to panic." I told everyone. After that no one said a word.

Then we heard a moan come from down the hall. Everyone stayed still and no one said a word.

Then someone pulled out a pocketknife and ran out the door saying they would kill the intruder.

All we heard after that was a scream then the sound of teeth biting into flesh.

Someone threw up and then we heard footsteps coming down the hall then there was silence. Then something started to bang on the door.

Someone opened the door and then we saw the reason why the person in the hall screamed. The figure had a missing arm that was gushing out blood and what looked like several bite marks. At first I thought the bites were from a animal, then I realized that the bite marks were from a human.

Someone screamed," ZOMBIE."

Then chaos began. Someone threw a chair at the zombie, knocking it down and the everyone ran out of the classroom except for me.

I picked up a chair and smashed the zombies head in to kill it. Then I went into the hall and told everyone that the zombie was dead but no one believed me except for my friends Kori and Emily. We  went back into the classroom and I told them how to kill a zombie. We then found my other friends Jacob, Chloe, and Jackson. I then asked everyone if they wanted to make a survivor group.

Everyone said yes and then we voted to make me the leader. Then I appointed jobs to everyone.

"Jackson you are in charge of the food. Jacob you are in charge of keeping track of the gas. Emily you keep track of how much building materials we have. Kori you are the gaurd." I told everyone.

We went back into the hall guy who had ran into the hallway, or what was left of him anyway. His leg was ripped off, he was missing a arm, and he was covered in bites. I noticed that his was was intact so I grabbed his knife and plunged it into his head.

I pulled the knife out again and put it into my pocket. "Ok people let's go." I said.

We found car keys on the other zombie and went to the car that the keys went to. The car was a 2015 GMC pickup truck. The bed had a silenced sniper, nine millimeter pistol, and a AR15. I grabbed the sniper, Jacob got the pistol, and Jackson got the AR15. I gave kori the knife and got in the car and started to drive to my house. When we got to my house I got out and went inside.

"Hello anyone here?" I called out. No answer then my dog came running at me and started barking.

"Shhh. Be quiet." I told him.

I went to my room and grabbed a book about the zombie apocalypse.

"Cmon boy." I told my dog.

When I got to the truck I opened the door and let my dog in.

"Paul... is this dog safe?" Kori asked.

"Yes he is trained to only attack on my command." I answered.

I then started to drive to the town of Nokomis. Halfway there I turned on the radio and I wish I didn't.

"Attention, all citizens this is the president speaking, I advise everyone to seek shelter immediately this is not a drill, I repeat this is not a drill." Then the radio cut to static.

My group was already nervous but this announcement sent my group into panic. One hour later we arrived at Nokomis and found someone running in the middle of the road being chased by a group of zombies.
