Apocalypse Book 1 The Beginning

Chapter 2 Familiar Faces

I stomped on the brakes, jumped out of the car, and started to shoot the zombies. When all of the zombies were dead the person looked at me.

"Paul is that you?" They asked.

I aimed my gun at them and asked,"How do you know me?"

"Paul it's me." They said.

"Show yourself!" I yelled, my anger growing inside of me as they talked.

When they stepped closer I gasped. Standing there was a girl i knew from a young age.

"Is that really you?" I asked.

"Who else would it be?" They asked.

I ran up to her, picked her up and spun her in the air. We went back to the truck and when we got there everyone was surprised to see another living person.

"Who is this?" Kori asked.

"Everyone this is Rose" I told everyone.

"Nice to meet you." Emily said.

"Who are you?" Rose asked.

"I'm Paul's friend." Emily answered.

"Ok." Rose said.

"Ok everyone let's go." I said.

About three minutes later we were at my old house. "Ok everyone follow me." I said.

We went to the back of the house and I opened a hidden trapdoor that lead to the basement. We climbed down and found fifteen rooms not counting the kitchen, storage room, and pantry.

Each bedroom had xbox ones and PS4s hooked up to flatscreen TVs. We all went into a separate room and I locked my door. I looked at my watch and it was 12:35 a.m When I was at school it was only 11:30 a.m I was amazed that so much had happened in only one hour. Then someone knocked on my door.

I opened my door and it was  Jackson.

"Where do we put the food?" Jackson asked.

"Follow me." I told him as I went to the pantry. "Here."

"Thanks." He said

I went to the truck, got my dog Kaiser, and got him to my room. Then I started to play video games until it was 1:00. Then I told Chloe that she was in charge  of cooking, then I did a room check. Jacob was cleaning his gun, Jackson was playing Fortnite, Kori was sharpening her knife, and Emily was playing minecraft for the first time.
"Noob." I said out of the corner of my mouth.

I went back to my room, opened a drawer in the nightstand by my bed and found a pistol. I grabbed it, put the safety on, and put it in my pocket. I then played my dog. Five minutes later Chloe said that food was ready.

Everyone got their food and sat at the table. While everyone was eating I said a small prayer. The food was mashed potatoes, corn, and steak.

When everyone was done eating, Chloe turned on the sink to wash the dishes. To my surprise water actually came out of the faucet.
"Wait we have running water?" I asked.

"Yeah, why does that surprise you?" Chloe asked.

"Because, the water upstairs isn't working." I answered.

"Must be a different pipe line." She said.

I went back to my room and opened up a different drawer in the nightstand and found a working laptop. I immediately turned the laptop on and found a folder called: THE PLAN. I opened it up and there was a plan for creating the soluman virus otherwise known as the zombie virus. It also showed the atoms of the virus. I shut the laptop off and put it up. For the next few hours I read the book on the zombie virus until it was 9:00 pm. I turned off my light and went to sleep.

While sleeping I had a vision. In the vision I saw a group of survivors in a building surrounded by zombies. One of the survivors ran to the roof and got in a helicopter while the other two ran to a car.

I woke up and looked at the clock in my room and it was around 7:00. I smelled bacon, eggs, and sausage being cooked. I got out of bed, got dressed, and went into the kitchen. Chloe was cooking breakfast so I went to the other rooms to see if anyone else was up.

Kori was in her room sharpening her knife and I gave her the pistol that I found yesterday. I went to Jacob's room and I didn't need to go in the to tell he was still sleeping because he was snoring like a beaver with a chainsaw. I went to Jackson's room and he was cleaning his AR15. Emily was awake and she was playing minecraft again.

I told Jacob to wake up and then Chloe yelled that it was time to eat. During breakfast I told everyone that I had found a laptop and then I told them what was on it. Everyone gasped in shock then the lights went out.
