Fire and Flame

Chapter 3

Suddenly, hundreds of children came gushing out of every door of the school! Nobody knew if it was a practice run or a real fire, but that question was soon answered once you started seeing big bright orange flames through the windows and smoke coming through the roof of the school! Kids and teachers kept gushing and running out away from the fire, leaving all of their belongings.

"My coat is in there!" screamed the snobby rich girl of the school, Rose. "That cost me £590! And my £100 pencil case! And my good pens! My drawings are in my bag! My phone is in my bag!!" she screamed at the top of her lungs.

"So you would rather die than loose money?! Rather die than loose a silly old electronic?! Rather burn to death than get your ugly horrible drawings? And coat?" yelled the teachers. Nobody liked Rose, not the students, not the teachers, no-one. She had ugly and horrible kind of warn out rainbow coloured hair. Now obviously it is against the rules to have coloured hair, but she was rich. Her whole family was rich. And they said if they don't allow her to have rainbow hair and anything she wanted to be exact, then they would take over the place and shut it down!

She was a very tall and ugly child. She always wore a short skirt, cropped t-shirt and a jacket. Skirt and Jacket always matching colours. And the t-shirt was always either black or white, or both. She honestly had no talent whatsoever. She couldn't draw or anything! If you saw one of her drawings and she asked you to guess what it was the conversation would go something like this-

"Oh! Look at my drawing! Isn't it amazing?! Can you guess what it is?! Come on its so obvious because its so good! Right?"

"Oh, uhm yeah! I-its great.. wow... Uhm, is it.. An elephant mixed with a giraffe?"

"Don't be silly! I know you're joking! It looks nothing like an elephant-giraffe!"

"Haha... Yeah kidding... Uhm.. A goose with scoliosis?"

"Are you joking again?"

"No.."

"Wow! So rude! Its a cat! See! The head, ears, body...."

and so on.

Anyway, she was so snobby and rude that she shouted,

"Yes! I would rather burn! And if you don't let me go in I will get this place shut down!"

"Dear! If you go in, you will die before getting your things! And if you don't, the school will be shut down anyway! There will be nothing left of it!" yelled the teachers grabbing Rose's arms and pulling her back so she couldn't go in.

Back inside, there was Lillo and Bethany. They where caught behind as they where in the bathroom. They where running out as all the doors shut to attempt to stop the fire spreading outside and reaching the kids that where out there. All the kids where already outside, it took the whole school about 30 seconds to get out. I know it's crazy.

"What are we going to do?!" screamed Bethany

"I don't know! The fire is spreading so fast and the doors are closed! We're locked in! Bethany. we're going to die I think!" Lillo exclaimed

"Oh no! We can't die like this! We just can't! We need to live good and long lives!" Bethany replied.

"And how do you think we're supposed to do that now Bethany?!" screamed Lillo "We're trapped there's no way out! Okay?! Get that in your head! We're going to die here!"

"Hey! No! Not necessarily! Miracles happen Lillo! Miracles happen!" yelled Bethany, trying to keep her hopes up, even though she was terrified and knew this was the way they would die.

She then saw a small purple light, that was growing bigger and bigger.

"What is that?" she said.

"What's what?!" replied Lillo.

"That purple light! Its growing bigger! You see? Its getting bigger and bigger by the second! It looks like a flame! Purple fire! It's purple fire! But where did it come from?! How did it start?! I've never seen fire that's purple before!" Bethany exclaimed while Lillo quickly turned her head and stared...

"I don't know, but I watch a lot of movies. And this Bethany. This my friend... could be our way out" -
