Because you don’t know how long they will last
It feels like sometimes, you can grow apart
People don’t know how much you feel
When the friendship you have between someone far away
The friend is always busy, and slowly turns away
You try to hide the pain
Until one day, you might break

And you try to talk to that friend
It hurts when all they say is sorry
When you tell them how much you’re hurting
It feels like you are getting, slowly pushed to the side
You start to feel like you are getting abandoned
So you keep the pain inside
How much longer can I keep this up?
Until I can’t take it anymore.
Until I lock myself away in my own mind and just stay
I’m trying to keep this hidden
But masquerades soon end
Masquerades end as soon as the people get revealed
Will I reveal my true identity?
I will Never let my true self show
People will turn their backs on me
