"Guess her royal highness didn't waste any time staying around." I mumbled as I looked out the empty student car park beside my bike being in the motorbike bay.I walked over to my BMW 12 cafe racer bike running a hand over her frame. My dad was a mechanic a talented one, he could fix anything and he gifted me this for my 17th birthday last year where everything was a lot better before it turned into absolute shit.
I dig around in my duffle bag to find my motorbike keys with the Loch Ness monster key ring hanging from it, a present from Alice.
Straddling my bike, I swung my duffle bag round my back so it rested on the seat. I pulled on my riding gloves before slipping my helmet over my head lifting the tinted black visor up.
Soon my bike roared to life and the gentle hum of the engine rang in my ears as I felt the vibration through the seat to my bum.
I pulled out from the school gates and made the journey home taking the town route. The wind felt cool on my bar skin as I drove through the town, returning the odd wave at people on the pavement who notice me driving through.
I wanted to get back to bed as soon as possible. We had a very well maintained relationship and a strong one and she knew how to treat me well after a long day after practise.
Unfortunately that wasn't the case I had my usually work shift at the sports bar and grill, lucky for me Wesley was also working tonight so at least I had some company to suffer together with.
Being caught up in my own thoughts I almost didn't see the red Aldi coming through the intersection till the last second as I swerved out of the way and mounting the curb as I felt my body jerk forward.
"You fucking baw bag! Learn how to drive!." I yelled as as I stepped back dismounting my bike off the curb.
Whoever was driving the Aldi was lucky for having the black tinted windows or I would of marched over there knowing who almost hit me would of made me more mad. Making no effort to leave there vehicle they sped down the road, I flicked my finger off at them knowing they would see it in there rear mirror.
Shaking my head in disbelief I calmed myself down before setting off again and making the journey home.
Pulling into the open garage complex under the set of apartments, I kicked out the stand to my bike and let it lean to one side as I un buckled my helmet and slid it off.
"Home sweet home." I mumbled as I ruffled my dry hair and headed for the direction of the elevator.
The apartment complex that I lived in was a fairly modern built. With its white coloured walls and high glass windows. It wasn't anything fancy but this has been my home since me and dad moved here after a year ago.
A year since the accident.
Before I could dwell more on my thoughts the elevator doors pinged open to revel the 10th floor which was an open corridor inside the square complex giving a more open view of the entire building.
Putting the key into the front door I soon stepped inside the apartment, the thick cloud of smoke and the smell of alcohol hit me. It only meant one thing, dad was having one of his set backs.
Walking round the corner to the living room I spotted my dad passed out on the couch with bottles of bud surrounding him as he snored away. I cringed at the sight of him, for how long this has been going on I still wasn't use to seeing him like this.
I grabbed for the remote to turn off the tv and walked over to him grabbing the blanket from the armchair and placed it over him, in his semi drunk conscious state he managed to open his eyes.
