"Did you hear what happened to Crystal Gates at Paul's cafe?" My best friend Chloe said as she shuts her locker door and leans on it. "Why would I care for highschool drama ?" I replied as I close my locker door picking up my football bag swinging it over my shoulder and looking back at my best friend who was giving me this look as she smiled weirdly at me as I started to head down the hall.

"for starters...." she cooed into my ear as she placed her arm over my shoulder as she came up beside me "it has something to do with Bennett."

I stopped dead in my tracks at the mentioning of Bennett name as I looked at Chloe to see she was smirking at me. "What's it got to do with her?" Trying not to sound too interested.

"Seriously, You not seen the video?! It's gone round the whole school." Sounding surprised I hadn't seen it, as I like to keep from the monotone drama that is high school as I watched her rummaged in her own matching school football bag and soon pulling out her phone and holding it out in front of me to show a video playing.

I spotted Crystal straight away in the video and seeing she was standing in front of three people. A girl with shoulder length blonde hair, A tall pasty boy with bright curly orange hair and that's when I notice her.

Riley Bennett, her green eyes burning into Crystal as she looks up at her from where she was sitting in the booth.

"Still talking like a monkey." Crystal voice sounded bitter through the phone, I felt my own temper building up inside me. I don't know why it did, this was Riley Bennett who tested my patience everyday at school and who was a lesbian something that my father and the church was against.

So why did I care that Crystal was taking the piss out of her ?

My attention was grabbed once more as I heard Riley noticeable voice her accent coming through clearly "Still talking like you got a broom up your arse." she mimicked her high pitch voice, I felt my lips part slightly into a smile knowing that was a typical sarcastic remark made by Bennett, one that she hasn't used on me and one I was glad she hadn't.

"You're going to miss the best part!." Chloe squealed as she waved her phone in front of me. "Well if you're waving it around like that I won't." I hissed, as I grabbed her wrist to keep it steady and went back to watching the video.

I continued to watch how Crystal stole the blonde hair fries before throwing them back at her and how Riley was now standing up, slightly towering over her which made me thought how she also did over me by only a few inches.

To my surprise Riley voice was too calm but held such a ice tone to it "Don't get me wrong I love chips but I love to wash it down with a shake." My eyes didn't dare move from the phone as I watched her pour chocolate shake over Crystal as he face retorted in such angry before screaming at the top of her lungs "you fucking dyke!" Before the video cut out.

I was lost for words as my best friend grinned at me as she chucked her phone back in her bag "for a lesbian she got some balls on her." She laughed. I gave her a look to say if she really just made that kind of a joke.

Even I will admit that Crystal Gates was a bitch, she rarely caused me any issues but she'd never dare say anything to me when I was with the soccer squad. We looked after each other and one thing we did was always have each other back, we was like a dysfunctional family but we loved each other.

"Can we just get to the pep rally." I moaned trying to hide any care for the lesbian after seeing the video. I needed the distraction, and the up coming pep rally this morning was the perfect solution. "Only because coach is going to name you as the varsity captain for a third time in a row." As she gave me a playful nudge as we continued to head in the direction of the sports hall.
