Melissa's P.O.V.

It's been 3 weeks now. 3 weeks since my heart got bit to pieces than spit out by it. I didn't even want to say his name. Yesterday Liam, Niall and Ariana came by to comfort me with chocolate and mushy love movies.

They really are the best Friends a girl could possibly have. I only have 2 days left of summer vacation. 2!! That means having to face....that excuse of a ma- human. At least I won't have to face him everyday because I bet we won't have any of the same classes together!

Right? I was never a lucky person. Maybe I could get Niall to rub his leprechaun luck on me. Speaking of the devil.

" Hey Melissa!!!" a familiar Irish accent chirped. I was sat on swing at the park and I had text ed him to meet me here.

" Hey Niall!" I crushed him into a friendly hug. Me and Niall had been friends since we first got to the hospital at birth. He was you could say my brother! I had meet Liam and Ariana in 2nd grade so we had pretty much been friends like forever.

"Melissa, Melissa MELISSA!"

"WHAT!?"

" Sorry, you zoned out and I wanted to know why you asked me to come here?" He smiled sheepishly at the ground.

" God, I'm sorry Niall , I'm just really nervous about school and having to face you know who. Anyways did you text Li and Ariana?"

" Yea, but Ariana isn't coming 'cause she had to babysit and Li is bringing that excuse of a girlfriend Caroline" I saw his face drop at the mention of his name. Poor Niall was in love with someone who already had a girlfriend.

That's right Niall was in love with Liam. I can't even imagine how horrible he must feel. "Niall!" I snapped playfully realizing what he had said.

"What? It's the truth isn't it? She's a total whore!" It wasn't a lie. Caroline always flirted with other guys, but Liam was so "in love" that he didn't even realize it. Love really is blind. I mean she was in her 30s for god sakes!

Niall sighed and that brought me back into reality

" Speaking of the whore" we both whispered in unison. We burst out into a laughter fit as Li and his chick approached sending us confused looks.

" Hey guys!" Liam seemed especially happy? I wonder what crawled up his pants and burst into a rainbow?

Me and Niall got up, Caroline shooting us glares and all over her face it was evident she didn't wan to be here. "Hey" Well at least she tried. We jumped on Liam and hugged him.

" Hey, hey watch the face" he warned but it was to late. We all fell back and burst into giggles. That's right giggles! Then it got awkward..Wierd?

Niall broke the tension " So Nandos?" Only him. We all walked down to nandos which was weirdly just down the street, except for Caroline that stayed behind us. Old people these days. We walked in , well Niall practically ran in and ordered everything.

Nothing out of the normal....wait a minute. Someone caught my eye. Sitting in the corner by himself on his phone was a boy with jet black hair and olive skin...and a amazingly broad cheek bone. He looked up with a pool of hazel brown eyes and quickly turned away before I got lost in them. I decided to go over there and make a friend. I walked over to his table and sat down.

He looked up confused as to why I sat down with him. But up close he's eyes looked so..so broken.

" Hi, my names Melissa!" I exclaimed my dirty blonde/brown hair swaying back and forth.

He chuckled.

" The names Malik, Zayn Malik" I laughed.

" Going all James Bond on me are we?" He started laughing too. He had a beautiful smile. And his eyes.. they were so... broken. Yet so beaut- WAIT! WHAT? I just met him! Yet he was so intriguing! I was determined to know more about the raven haired boy! I don't know what it was but I was determined to find out why he was so broke and fix him. I just was.

I will fix Zayn.
