LONDON'S POV
"Here I got you some water," I told Kevin as I walked back from the vending machine. Its been almost 3 hours since my mom came out. Kevin hadn't spoken a word since we got here. Ivy is still pacing around the waiting area. Keezy's baby mother, Kiara is on the phone with various family members trying to keep them up to date. I pulled out my phone to check Twitter in efforts to focus on something else and then I see a post from Ashley's baby father that catches my eye.
"Eye for an eye." I didn't think anything of it until I realized who he was. I didn't say anything about it. I saw that Niecy and Melly were across from me sleeping. I took a screenshot of the tweet and his profile. Before putting my phone away, I put Angel, Imani, Niecy, Des, and Jayda in a group text with the label "DONT SAY A WORD" and sent them my screenshots.
I quickly put my phone away as I seen white coats headed our way through the door glass. The doors burst open. A young white man stood at the doorway and raised his voice, "Family of a Kezekiah Washington" his voice turned shaky and his cheeks turned red. He must be an intern. My mom is too but she's seen death a lot more than others. We all stood up approaching the group of doctors.
He got ready to say something and someone stopped him. The group of doctors, who looked scared to say something, cleared the way for my mom to come through. She came to the front of the group and grabbed the hands of Kevin, Ivy, and Kiara. She just shook her head while saying "I am SO SORRY."
"FUCKKKKKK!!!" Ivy punched a hole in the wall and kicked the waiting area chair across the room. Bullet dropped his face in his palms letting tears flow from his face. Niecy and Melly woke from the sound and immediately knew. Niecy wrapped her arms around Melly because she knew he was temperamental. I heard the speaker say "Code Blue in Room 134. Code Blue.." My mom ran back behind the double doors
"Please God NO!! PLEASE! I can't do this without him!" Kiara broke down in the waiting room.
I looked around to see Kevin sitting in the chair with a traumatized look on his face. I approach him.
"Babe it's going to be ok-" I tried to console him but was cut off by him.
"What? OKAY? STOP TALKING TO ME BRUH. I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE STAYING OVER THERE BUT I WAS TOO BUSY CHECKING ON YO STUPID ASS! MY NIGGA GONE ALL OVER SOME SHIT THAT AINT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU!" Kevin pushed me off him looking for his keys. Tears started streaming down my face.
"Kev you don't mean that, you're just upset. Please just calm down." I said in shaky voice from crying.
"Bruh stay AWAY FROM ME. I don't want shit to do with you. Lose my number!" Kevin said in my ear before walking off.
"KEVIN WHAT THE FUCK!" I said crying while watching him leave. Ivy, Melly, and Bullet got up to join him. Kiara and Jr left after seeing Keon one last time.
"I know this is a lot y'all but we have to put this shit together. We don't have a lot of time before the guys start looking into shit. Let's meet at Jayda's in 3 hours. Dom will be gone by then. We have to figure this shit out." Niecy said to me and Angel in a calm manner. You could tell she was upset but trying to conceal it. Her eyes were bloodshot red. We all nodded in unison. Jayda was on FaceTime with Angel as we all agreed. I looked down at my phone to see it was Kane calling me. I ignored it and left with Angel.
