i open my eyes groggily and sit up slightly, feeling a headache hit me like a shovel to the face. i groan and look around. my eyes widen. this isn't my house. i look over to see a clump of messy black hair on a pale person's head, laying next to me in a deep looking sleep. i jump slightly as i look at the stranger for a moment. what the hell happened last night. i remember a few things, leaving the apartment, getting at the bar, some hot guy got me a drink.. oh no. "you've got to be kidding me." i mumble out loud, just quiet enough to not wake up the person next to me. i can't believe i passed out at some random persons house. god, i hope i wasn't an idiot and did something stupid. i get out of the bed and picking up my phone from the nightstand. damn it, it's dead. "oh, you're up." i hear a groggy voice say, making me jump. i look over at the person, now sitting upright and looking at me with the prettiest blue eyes i've ever seen. i snap out of staring at him and blush slightly. "i don't remember much so... care you fill me in on what happened?" i say hesitantly, not sure if i even wanted to know. "uh, yeah, sure. i got you a drink and we talked for a bit. you had way more drinks than me, though. i brought you here because you were too drunk to go home on your own and i didn't know your address. so i took you here and you passed out on my couch so i moved you to my bed, i hope you don't mind." the guy says. "ok, as long as we didn't really do anything, i guess." i say, shoving my phone in my back pocket. "uh, yeah. i wouldn't do that when you were drunk." the guy says. i was about to bid my goodbyes, heading for the door but the guy stands up from his bed. "wait a minute," the guy starts, causing me to look back at him and stop walking. "um, i know we don't really know each other but.. i would kind of want to learn more about you?" he says, kind of sounding like he was asking a question. i look at him, surprised, with a slight tint of pink on my pale cheeks. "why?" i ask, not really knowing what else to say. "well, you seem like a nice person, i guess. when we talked, it was kind of nice, you know?" the guy says, smiling slightly. i blush slightly as i look at him and scratch the back of my neck nervously. i have to admit, he is hot but he also seems sweet and cute, which i didn't think someone could be both but he's standing in front of me. i would be lying if i said i didn't want to see him again. if i'm honest, i'd say i got lucky that this cute guy decided to take pity out on my drunk ass. i look over at him. "um, i mean, sure. but, i don't remember your name, i'm sorry." i say, smiling at him slightly and a bit of a blush still on my pale face. the guys face lit up and he chuckled slightly. "no, it's ok. my name is yousuke. yousuke hirabayashi." he says. "i'm daiki tanaka." i say. "oh, um, you already told me." yousuke says, chuckling. i blush and shove my hands in my jean pockets. "sorry." i say. "it's ok, really. you need a ride home?" yousuke asks. i nod slightly. he takes me down to his car and i give him my apartment building address, him driving me there. before i get out of the car, i turn to him. "do you have a pen?" i ask, taking out a napkin i had in my pocket, from god knows where. "uh, yeah." yousuke says, shuffling in the side pocket on his car door before handing me a pen. i scribble out my number and hand him both the napkin and the pen. "text me about the details of that date you mentioned, ok?" i say, smiling at him slightly. yousuke blushes slightly and smiles. "ok! see you soon, daiki!" yousuke calls after me as i exit his car and start walking to the apartment building. i wave to him and smile as he drives away, him waving slightly back. i walk into the building smiling to myself slightly, a small blush still on my face. i've never been happier to have ended up at someone's house after being drunk at a bar. i go up to my apartment and, before i can unlock the door, the door swings open and i jump and groan at the pounding of my headache at the loud bang the door made as it hit the wall. i see katashi, a slightly worried but also pissed off look on his face. "what the hell, man?! 'i'll be home in a couple hours', my ass!" katashi says, obviously agitated, and walks back into the apartment. "look, i'm sorry, alright. some guy took me to his place to make sure i was ok because i got drunk as fuck at a bar-" katashi cuts me off as i enter the apartment and close the door behind me. "you got laid?!" katashi exclaims. i blush profusely. "w-what?! no! he only let me sleep at his house!" i exclaim. "mhm. sure." katashi says, smirking at me suggestively. i roll my eyes at him but my blush didn't fade. "since when did you care what i do?" i ask. "because.. i dont fucking know. you're one of the first people who's ever even given a real shit about me and i don't know what to do about it since you'll leave me like all the others once i get too annoying." katashi says, me not understanding his english but really impressed, none the less. "what? you know i can't speak english. what are you saying?" i say. katashi looks down for a moment, leaning against the counter. "nothing.. now, who's your new fuck-buddy?" katashi says, making me blush again. "shut the fuck up, dimwit! we didn't have sex, you pervert." i say defensively. "getting defensive, are we?" katashi says, smirking at me with raised eyebrows. good to have the old katashi back. "i hate you." i say. "awe, thanks, dumbass. now, time for breakfast! i'm literally starving." katashi says, transforming into a dog and trotting over to the stove. i get out ingredients to make pancakes for the cabinets. "you know you still have to help with dishes later even though you're a dog right now, right?" i say, smiling smugly at him. "what?! that's unfair!" katashi complains. "it's very fair. i pay for literally everything you consume and live with. the least you can do is dishes." i say. katashi grumbles as he sits by my feet, watching me make the pancakes. "soo... tell me about this guy. what's he like? how'd you meet? did he say what you are like when you're drunk? id love to see that." katashi says. i roll my eyes at him but smile slightly. "his name's yousuke. he seems really cute and sweet but he's also hot, which i didn't think was possible. he has the bluest eyes i've ever seen-" i cut myself off to look down at katashi, who was raising his eyebrows (or whatever the equivalent is for a dog) and smirking at me. "i ship it." katashi says. i smack him with an oven mit, blushing profusely. "shut up, fool!" i say, going back to making the pancakes, flipping the first one. "oi! don't judge my ships. can i meet this yousuke, though? when's your date? i could be the cute dog to being along so there's a higher chance of liking you even more than he already does. everyone likes a cute dog." katashi says, smiling charmingly. "yeah, cute dogs. not you." i tease, earning a yap from katashi. "shut up, dumbass! i am adorable!" katashi says. "mhm. sure, whatever helps you sleep at night, tomodachi." i say. (友達 (tomodachi) means friend or my friend in japanese) "whatever. can i still come? it's not like i have other things to do." katashi says, clearly wanting to go for some reason. "i feel like you'll say something and freak him out. i don't need you to mess up my love life even more than it already is." i say, taking the first pancake off the pan onto a plate on the counter. "i promise that i wont. i just want to tag along. i'll be a good little dog." katashi says. i glance down at him slightly, his big green eyes pleading like a small puppy. i groan and pour some more batter into the pan. "fine." i say, making katashi jump around excitedly. "yes, yes, yes!" he says. "but, if you scare him off by talking or acting like a human, you'll have to get a job and start paying rent." i say. "what?! that's a lot at stake!" katashi says, pausing his happy bouncing to stare at me in surprise. i shrug. "then you better not mess up then." i say, smirking down at him defiantly. katashi sighs. "fine, whatever." he says. i finish making the pancakes and we ended up just relaxing at home all day. a pretty good sunday, if you ask me.
