Sara's Mother walked over to me and put

her hand on my shoulder, her other hand

tightly clenching a white handkerchief.

There was mascara smeared all under her

beautiful emerald green eyes and tears

running down her face like the raindrops

on a car window during a stormy day.

Sara's Mother had always been a very put

together women but today it was

different, she was wearing sweatpants and

a sweater that swallowed her entire torso

and part of her upper thigh, but this wasn't

what surprised me, what surprised me was

her hair. Sara's mother always had the most

besutiful hair, she cherished her hair and

always made sure it was done neatly, but

today it was tangled and unfixed, like she

had just woken up. As for her father, he

was wearing his work clothes, which was

only suprising because he worked nights.

Sara's mother looked me in the eyes and

tried to collect herself enough to form a

sentence. She cleared her throat and

managed to sputtered out the words "callie

dear, theres been an....incident" I froze "this

morning we went into Sara's room and...

we found her hanging from a rope tied to

her ceiling" she broke down crying, as she

could not muster up the courage to say

another word. Soon reality hit me and I

realized what was happening, my best

friend, the person whom I told everything

to, the person who I thought would be by

my side forever, was gone. I didn't know

what to do, I locked up as every emotion hit

me and I didn't know how to react , I

couldn't  even cry, or find any words to say.

I fell to my knees and everyone was around

me trying to do something, anything,  to

comfort me and tell me it was okay, but I

didn't care,  nor did I hear them, all I heard

was the echoing sound of silence and

realization that she was never coming

back.
