The night was warm. It was humid witch ment They it was going to rain soon. A dog's bark echoed off the walls of the allies. Tons of couples Scattered across the streets. Kong's going for miles and miles of lovers trying To get into a fancy restaurant. Men giving the lady's flowers and chocolates.

Diana landed on the top of a building. Looking down she scanned the streets. Not finding what she was looking for she took off and moved on to the next section of town.

As she was flying over she saw an oddly shaped gargoyle. As she approached the gargoyle had a big black lump on it with two points sticking out of it.

She smirked.

"What brings you here?" Diana asked and she gracefully landed next to him.

"I could ask you the same thing princes."

"I'm tracking circe. Rumor has it that she's up to her old trucks." *hic*

"Same." Had a confused look. She put her hand on his shoulder and when he turned she could see a flask.

"Sorry." *hic* "i don't usually get company this time of year. I just *hic* you know and have Alfred pick me up then pass out."

Diana was wary at first but was interested to see what drunk Bruce was like. So she took a seat next to him. Bruce took a swig form the flask in his hand and wheeled it around a bit.

"This is sad isn't it?" He scoffed.

"What?"

"Having a day for Love..." He took another gulp. "Every day should in theory be valentines day. Why just have one day where your supposed to treat the person you supposedly love? It should be very day. Make them feel special year around."

Diana hesitated to ask this but she felt that since he was in an open mood she might actually get an answer.

"Do you have anyone... special in your life? Like that you....love?"

He tilted his head back and emptied the flask. "Nah, my work is too important. *hic* Thier was Selena but it was never really an official thing and she apparently ended because I'm the end she wasn't going to change for a man. And I wasn't going to become a criminal."

"Ah."

Hearing him talk about another woman stung Diana but it was something more than work.

"Then theirs you."

She pricked you.

"I think I love you but at this point I hostly don't really know love in that way." Bruce started off into the distance lost in thought. "Have you ever read the book of mice and men?"

"..."

"It's about two guys who have a dream. A simple one but life is complicated. They are misunderstood and life was out of their control. That's how I feel about love. I guess putting faith in such an unknown variable as another being scars me. I can be commuted but I am just afraid of actually falling hard for someone only to end up losing them."

Diana was stunned. She was at a loss for words. That was the deepest Bruce had going with her before. Sure they share in deep conversations but relationship wise...with her....

"Bruce..." she reached her hand out for his. But was cut off.

"Their!" He pointed almost falling off the gargoyle.

circe was on the move. Diana make her move but stopped when she realized Bruce wasn't behind her. Mid air she stopped at looked back to see Bruce fumbling with his utility belt.
