Britain's pov

I opened my eyes and got out of bed, my head was hurting, and different voices would echo around my head. I then decided to talk to my mother about it. "Mother." I started and found her in the living room, drinking tea "Yes dear?" she asked and put her tea down. "I don't feel well." I said and she got up, walked over to me, and kneeled. She put the back of her hand against my forehead "Hmm.... well, you aren't sick, that's for sure." she whispered and stood up, she put on her coat "I'm gonna take you to a doctor, you've been getting headaches every day and it's worrying me." she explained, and I put on my coat too. We walked down to the doctor's office and waited in the waiting room, I sat up on the chair and sung my legs back and foreword. That was until the doctor told us he was ready to see us, I jumped off my seat, and mother and I walked to the doctor's office "This is my son Britain, he has been getting headaches and they've been getting worse everyday." mother told the doctor as he was writing things down.

"Okay, I'm going to ask your son a few questions, but he has to answer honestly." the doctor said "Okay." I replied, "How much are these headaches happening, like are they happening every hour?" "No, the headaches appear in the mornings and nights." I answered "Okay. Do you take any medication?" he asked "nope. I don't take any, mother says I won't need to." I told the doctor "What else are you noticing that is happening?" the doctor questioned "Well, there are different voices in my head." I answered and mother spoke up "His mood also changes a lot, one second he has manners then the next minute he is quiet and rude. He's not bipolar, I know that." Mother explained "Adding on to what mother is saying, there are 4 or 5 voices in my head, they each have different accents." I added "Well, I'm going to add up the things you said, and I'll tell you what it is in a moment." the doctor said and left the office "I hope it's nothing to bad." mother whispered.

Soon the doctor came back into the room with a clipboard in his hands "Well, he is not bipolar but he his split minded." the doctor said. When we got home, I went to my room and closed my door. I then closed my eyes, 'Hello?' I asked, 'Hey kid.' a voice greeted in my head 'you're one of the voices in my head!' I yelled in my head 'Yup, the name's Ireland.' the voice said, 'Who else is there?' I thought 'There's Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, England and me!' Ireland said to me, we talked for a while until mother knocked on my bedroom door "Brit, you okay?" she asked "Yup, I'll be out in a minute!" I said, 'I have to go, bye Ireland!' I said and opened my door.

I walked out and there was no sign of mother, I walked to the kitchen and found her cooking "Hello mother, you needed me?" I asked, "I just wanted to make sure you were okay." She said softly while setting a plate with a sandwich on it "I wanted to call you for lunch." She told me "Okay." I replied and sat down. "Momma, why have I never seen dad?", mother froze, her breath hitched (Is that the right word?) in her throat, her body slightly shaking. "I would rather not talk about him...." mother says and left the kitchen. Somethings wrong and I want to know. I finished my lunch and went to mothers' room; I could hear sobbing from the other side of the door. I knocked on the wood door, hoping mother heard, the door opened and there stood my mother with tears falling down her cheeks. "Mother, can we talk about it?" I asked and she nodded, letting me into her room, we sat on her bed "What happened?" I asked "It's j-just..... your father left me long ago.... Right after you were born, he cheated on me for another woman and really disliked how you looked. He disliked that you were a country. He wanted a normal child, I tried to tell him that he can't choose how his child looks but he didn't listen." Mother explained. I was kind of mad a dad, he did this to mother! "I'm sorry for asking you." I whispered "No, no, it's okay. It's nice to get it off my chest." she said with a soft smile on her face.

Soon, mother started to teach me how to be a gentleman and how to act. She would talk with me and teach me how to make tea or how to cook, she even bought me a tuxedo (I think that's how you spell it.). Every birthday, mother would bring me a new gift, Top hat, a monocle, tuxedo and more! I'd have to say that she is the best mother ever!
