Montana

Storming away, I heard the car door slam before looking back. As I did, I saw Joey's tall figure out of his car and making his way over to me.

"Come here." He spoke aggressively and I stayed exactly where I was.

"I said come here, Montana." He spoke sternly as I rolled my eyes and reluctantly walked over to him.

"What?" I asked, looking up at him.

Saying nothing he looked into my eyes before I looked down, not able to contain his gaze without tears brewing in my eyelids.

"Whatchu got an attitude for?"

"I don't have an attitude." I lied, folding my arms into my chest.

"Then what's up with all this crazy shit? You're saying fuck me for what?"

"Because you're sitting there choosing that random girl over me." I snapped unwillingly as he looked into my eyes before I looked away again.

"Whatchu jealous now?" He grabbed my face and I looked at him, flaring my nostrils.

Turning on my heels again, I started to walk away before he grabbed me, pulling me back to him.

"Look. Drop the fucking attitude, Montana. Ain't nobody choosing that damn girl over you. I said we'll talk when I drop her off."

"Aight?" He raised his eyebrows, looking down at me.

"No. She can walk." I rolled my neck and a smirk slowly crept onto his face.

Before I knew it, he was full blown laughing. He was laughing as if it was the funniest thing he'd ever heard.

"Stop. I'm not laughing." I nudged him seriously as he looked down at me with a smile once his laughter died down.

"You're really jealous." He spoke amusingly.

I mean of course I was, nine years and now he was booed up with someone else as if she was there for him all this time.

"She's an old friend of mine." He explained and I shrugged.

I didn't give a damn who she was. I'd never met her so she wasn't his friend nor was she relevant.

"Let me just take the girl back to her aunt's house and then when I get back we can talk. You ain't got shit to be jealous for."

"No." I spoke in an overly spoiled manner.

"Aight. How about you go and tell her why she has to walk home with heels on then, Montana." He spoke sarcastically, pointing towards his car and I happily made my way over to it.

"Montana." He laughed but I don't know if he thought I wouldn't but I was dead serious.

"Aight. Chill. Chill." He caught up to me, grabbing me by my waist while he laughed.

"Just get in the car so when I drop her off we can go back to yo' place and talk." He shook his head while I nodded.

"Fine."

Letting me walk ahead of him, he followed close behind as we made our way back towards the large crowd.

Everybody was in their own worlds now but Teesh was still there waiting.

"Joey and I are going to talk so I'll see you later, okay?"

"Alright, boo. Call me after and tell me how it goes." She raised an eyebrow and I nodded.
