who we are

I’m always wake up early, with my alarm beeping annoyingly. “Geez, another nightmare, there getting more frequent.”

I look at the alarm clock it said 6, such an unholy hour. It’s the start of my 11 grade year. “first day of school, great,” I say sarcastically. I have to go wake up Connor, I can still hear his alarm, playing heavy-metal loudly. My rooms normal for a 16 year old a small bed with dark blue sheets, poster of hot boys on wall, and a black area rug with yellow stars over the hardwood. I have a small writing desk, and beige walls, thats pretty much the existence of my room.

I get up, turning off the vain of my existence, that thing people call an alarm clocks. I open the door and walk across the hall to Connor’s room. Still a sleep, just like I expected. I sigh, yanking the pillow out from under Connor’s head, still asleep. I give and ‘oh well,’ and start mercilessly hitting him with his own ocean blue pillow. He wakes up and rolls of the bed grunting in pain. When he sits up and turns around I shove the pillow in his face and leave the room, telling the lazy bum to get up and take a shower.

Next I knock on Korey’s room, I already known she is wake, she is a night owl, but good at getting up in the morning. She wakes up super early and takes a shower before the rest of us are even up. She says I can come in. I open the door to see her sitting on a bean bag chair, reading a book about a demon fox and his blond adoptive human kit, they pages and cover were worn, showing she had read it many times before. Korey’s own kit - Kazuki - sits on her lap. Kazuki was named after Korey’s deceased twin brother, Kazuki. He died before me or Connor met them and she doesn't like to talk about him, so we don’t know much about him.

Korey’s room had dark purple walls and dark hardwood floor. A bed with black and emerald-green sheet sat in a corner, under a window. Half of her room was covered in a blood red area rug, while in another corner was a pile of beanbag chairs and pillows, in all of Korey’s favorite colors. Poster hung on her wall of nature, archery, and foxes of all kind, even made up and demon foxes with many tails.

I tell Korey breakfast will be ready in a bit. She smiles and nod her red hair. When she smiles you can see her silver braces. Korey didn’t look exactly normal, her hair was red for one. Korey though being a bit excitable, she was usually a calm person. Korey was currently wearing all black like usual, black sweats, black t-shirt with red writing on it, and black socks. The only other colors Korey will wear are dark purple, midnight blue, blood red, emerald green and the occasional brown leather belt. The brightest color she wore was silver and that was only a accent pieces.

As I walk out of her room and into the kitchen, I see her put her book on a near by book shelf and stand up, pushing Kazuki out of her lap. When I got to the kitchen I grabbed all the ingredients and start cooking. Eggs, bacon, buttered toast, and some raw meat for Kazuki.

“Breakfast is ready,” I yelled at the top of my lungs, probably waking the neighbors. First to come is Korey, she is already dressed to go to school. Korey’s hair hair was up in a pony but still went to her waist, geez when is she going to get a hair cut. She wore a long sleeve fishnet undershirt that went to her hips and a black shirt with a demonic star on the back, that stopped at her waist to exposed her flat stomach and red belly-button piercing. She also wore black skinny jeans and combat grade steel-toed brown leather boots. On her wrists were black leather - silver spiked bracelets and a pair of shiny grey dog tags hung around her neck. Headphones covered her ears, then she took them off to hang them around her neck, you could see the 5 piercings on her ears, 2 in each earlobe - one black and one silver in each ear - and one gold and silver one in the cartilage on her left side, you could also see her ipod sticking out of her front jean pocket. I notice her pitch black eyes zooming in on the food, yep she was hungry.

Last came Connor, blonde hair sticking up in random directions, like he just got out of bed, he was wearing a black graphic t, that had zombies in it. He also wore dark blue jeans and the same accessory as Korey, minus most the piercings and plus a brown leather belt. He only had one piercing on his right side earlobe, a small silver ball, that was incredibly noticeable against his tan skin. His skin was super tan, while mine was almost as pale as Korey’s and she was as pale as a vampire! He is the only tan one among us. Instead of combat boots, like Korey, he wore red and black high tops with a black and red skull pendent on his left shoelace.

They both sat down as I put Kazuki’s food on the floor and left them to eat as I got ready. I went to the bathroom all of us shared and took a quick shower.

When I got out, I got dressed and looked at myself in the mirror. I was wearing a camo-green tight fitting tank top that complimented my sky blue eyes, along with dark blue arm warmers, that went from my wrist to just above my elbows. I also wore blood red leggings and a black short skirt with red. Today I had on black and green tennis shoes and and my own dog tags, for some reason we all felt the need to wear them, I also had on a few other long necklaces and one choker necklace. Around my wrist were silver and black bracelets I’ve had since I was born, as far as I knew at least.

I picked up my hairbrush and brushed my dirty blonde hair into a dark green low hanging pony, letting my bang fall to the side of my face, my hair was pretty short and went just past my shoulder blades, but had lots of layers. When I brushed my hair I made sure that the thin strip of sky blue showed, vibrantly.

I walked out of the bathroom and grabbed my backpack that had a black, gray,  and yellow pattern that looked like a thunderstorm.

When I got to the front door I saw the others waiting for me. I could see Kazuki by Korey’s feet, he always hid in the forest to the north of our school. Connor was playing on a PSP QXz and Korey was listening to music again, I rolled my eye at them and walked out the door. They didn’t even look up before following me.

Geez, they don’t bump into anything how do they do that, I mean Korey’s eyes are completely close and Connor hasn’t looked up even once, the idiots. Kazuki was following Korey faithfully, how cute, the little scamp. Right before his tail is about to be stepped on he jumped and some how landed on Korey’s shoulder. She opened her eyes and looked at him for a second, before closing them and raising her hand to scratch him lazily behind the ear, she never minded him riding on her. Thier so CUTE!! Wait, that was a fangirl moment bad Jordan, bad. No Fangirling no matter how cute they are. Wait no, I’m doing it again, stop.

“Hey, Jordan are you okay. Where at school and you didn’t seem to notice at all, are you alright,” I heard Korey question, looking concerned. I look back too see Connor hiding his PSP in his pocket and Korey’s headphones hanging around her neck, then I looked up to see Kazuki running towards the forest, with the school right in front of me, ops I zoned out, dammit.

“Yeah, I just zoned out, thinking about a test I have in science,” I said half truthfully, I do actually have a test in science today, shit I forgot to study for it, oh well, I’m a A+ student anyways.

Then I heard the first bell ring.

“Well ,we better get to class, be safe everyone,” I call over my shoulder running to my first period.
