"Ugh, I can't believe I had another fallout with Angel seconds after she woke up.", George says to Rita and Stuart as they are enjoying a meal at a local dinner.
Rita tries to comfort him, however Stuart seems pretty annoyed by George lately.
"Why don't we change subject and talk about how absent you have been at the demonstrations lately.", Stuart points out.
"Oh Stuart I'm so sorry, with all these happening I totally lost track of time. Actually, there is something that I found out this week."
George takes a serious look and both Stuart and Rita lay back and wait for what's coming...
"I was at that club, me and Steven used to go on our dates at Downtown Manhattan. Apparently Elliott and Steven had a fight there less than a week before Steven was murdered."
Rita is shocked, but unlike her, Stuart has a pretty guilty look. George notices his friend's expression. He smiles and says...
"I take it that you already knew about this?"
"I may have heard something. But I thought it didn't make any sense until now."
"What do you mean? What happened?"
"You guys better buy more coffee..."

May 30 1972. One week before Steven's murder.
Stuart and Steven are walking to class. Stuart has noticed that Steven is a little off. He hasn't been listening to what his friends is saying since they walked out of class.
"Hello? Earth to Steven? Do you copy?", Stuart sarcastically says to him.
Before Steven responds, they stop walking and are in the middle of the hall. He is staring at Elliott.
After that he grabs Stuart and says...
"Come on dude, let's go to the right."
Stuart has no idea of what is happening as the boys start walking faster. Unfortunately for them, Elliott is pretty fast too.
"Hey, Steven. Are you avoiding me?"
"Obviously that's impossible."
"Can we talk in private?", Elliott asks Steven, who feels very uncomfortable.
