The night we met

I still can't believe it.. That you're..REAL.

I had dreamt of you my entire life. Only that I hadn't known you.. Until now.

And here we are, in the middle of the night, lying on the sand, watching the stars glisten while that song plays..Our song..

I remember the first time i ever saw you. Outside of a bar. It was raining and you were just getting out when I bumped into you. I was running, looking for shelter from the heavy rain of that cold December night, completely drenched and far from home. I fell on the wet pavement and you offered to help me up. "Are you alright miss?" You asked. I felt it. You felt it too. As soon as I looked into your eyes.. A sweet smile spread upon your lips. I smiled back at you. Could it be..? That I found my ONE in such a place? Nonsense! That would be so foolish of anyone to think.. But would it really be?..

A man, sat on the pavement a little further away, was playing that song.. That beautiful song. And you, helped me up. Staring into my eyes, you asked : "May I offer you a ride? It's the least I could do. After all it IS my fault you're in your ..current situation." I was a little taken aback, "My current situation?" I asked chuckled. " By no means did I mean to offend you.." you said, apologetically. 

"Don't you worry" I replied. "I can manage".  And thus, I turned to leave.

Little did I know I'd be meeting you again..
