Life Will Come Unto You

I feel drained of my strength. But I know what I am now, I have become a being of true power. I'm an expirement. But I know what I have to do to regain my strength. "Death, is a small price to pay for true power" I have to kill.

12:31 AM

Ever since there was suspicious activity a nightguard would come around to everybody's door and knock to check on them. Now it's time for a little test. I have a knife in my hand, the nightguard walks up to the door, knocks on it and I stab him straight through the heart.

He collapses, dead. I incantate the words "Rise! Join me, and life will come unto you!" He immediately stands up and says "What is your wish, for you have brought life unto me" Yes, this will do quite nicely. To regain my strength I can drain life from him at any moment given, and this way I shall be immortal.

But I know I can't stop here, this new power compels me to kill anything that gets in my way.

I feel dizzy now. I guess I shouldn't use something so powerful with my power only just having developed. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine an average guy like me would have power like this. But sooner this could turn out to be quite a burden for me, after all I don't quite know all the details of what the ritual put upon me besides this power.

Even if I am just an experiment, I am an experiment with a purpose. My purpose is to change the world for the better or worse, and that I shall do.

I walk back into my apartment and IT is in there. "Welcome home" it says. My jaw drops. "What? Suprised I can speak?". I try to contain myself . "Slightly" I say, barely not stuttering. "Allow me to intr-" he cuts me off. "I already know who you are and everything about you. You are Kazuto Nakashima. You are 23 years old and have just graduated from the Kyoto University of Technology". "How nice" I say. It introduces itself. "My name is Ryuk. I am a demon. By now you must've figured out the reason I gave you this power". "Yes, I am to change the world for better or worse" I reply. "Precisely. Well then. Where will you start in that case?"
