———
I would be lying if I were to say going on these missions were easy. Sometimes it's battling a vengeful demon or its a vampire gone rogue.

That's what makes the life Dean lives so great though, especially fighting besides his brother to do it even though they have their moments. Like now as Dean is sitting in a cafe, alone.

As Dean sit in a booth of a 1980's styled cafe eating a apple pie, he decided it was time to call Bobby and let him know what mess they were in this time and trying to figure out what their next job was at even though Dean knew what his reaction would be.

"you did WHAT?!" Bobby screamed at me through the phone making him wish he was deaf instead.

Dean inhaled and exhaled like Sam told him to do whenever he started to feel like raging in a situation, "it was either me getting my shoulder bitten or have Sam get this blood sucked out of him. What other choice did I have?"

Dean could tell Bobby was trying to think whether what he did was right or wrong but he finally sighed and speaking in a more sadden tone now, "Alright, where is Sam? He hasn't been answering any of my calls in a little while even though I told that to not ignore me that damn idjit."

He would be lying if he said he didn't find Bobby sayin idjit funny still to this day. Growing up with Bobby had its ups and downs but it was better than living without a father figure. It took him a bit to think of how to respond to Bobby on his question even though my excuse had to be quick before he would go jump to some random conclusions. "Oh didn't you hear? He phone broke the other day by getting slammed into the wall by a demon, poor bastard."

To Bobby the excuse sounded reasonable, for Bobby to raise both brothers taught him the great and worst parts of parenthood but one thing he knew is that Dean and Sam would do anything to protect each other even if it meant having to lie about big things.

"Well Dean your next mission is down in Lawrence, there are sightings of random people disappearing out of the blue and never being heard from again," Bobby said in a sincere tone. Bobby knew what Lawrence meant to Dean, it is town Sam and his parents died in.

Dean started to eat a little bit more of his pie for comfort and leaving a little bit of pie crumbs on his outer lips. Hearing the word Lawrence made him feel uncomfortable but he knew a job was a job. He nodded even though he knew that Bobby couldn't see him which he was grateful for due to how scared he actually thought he looked like. "Do you think it could be the demon that killed my parents back at it again?"

"Honestly? No, this things techniques were different, most of the victims were more randomized and from what I'm seeing in the research so far non of them are even related in a way. Maybe find a way to prove me wrong?"

Dean inhaled a little as he was on the last few bites of his pie, wishing I had more time to stay and get some more, "Alright I'll get Sam and we will check it out. Stay safe Bobby"

"Alright you too kiddo."

It was their way of saying I love you and be carful because both men thought they were too grown up for the mushy gushy things.

Dean finally took the last few bites of his pie and instead of feeling full, he started to feel his shoulder ache. He knew it would take some time before he was really going to heal, he's human of course. As he put the fork down and left ten dollars at the booth, Dean started calling Sam on his way out with it going straight to voicemail.
