Moving In

After about 30 minutes of reading, talking and a whole lot of signatures, the paperwork is done. I was given keys and an address and now I'm sitting in the passengers seat of a taxi watching as people and building pass by, I see buildings that have more colour than a rainbow. I pass one other universities and see students leaving after late studies, the place I've bought isn't too much further now, I made sure I was near the universties to try and help with business, maybe being near a bunch of tired young adults would help, hopefully sell a lot of coffee this way.

Arriving, I step out and grab my bags after paying, the structure in front of me is a newish looking building, the cafe, bottom level, seemed quite nice from the outside, a nice painted white, glass door in the middle tucked back a bit making the large windows either side patrude out a bit further than it, the windows started about a quarter of the way up the wall the frames white and the building brick.
The two floors above it were where my apartment was, brick with white window frames as well, there was a small balcony coming off the first of the apartment with white metal railing.

The building was on the corner of two streets and a small alley going behind it, that lead to small side entrance that lead to both the back of the cafe and upstairs to the apartment. The ally also had the bins and a small parking spot. I go around to that entrance, unlock the door and up the stairs that are now directly in front of me, locking the door behind me.
Once at the top I needed to unlock the door into the apartment. The apartment was nice, a bit bigger than the photos had showed, which was nice. I came into the hallway that lead to lounge room dining room and kitchen, it wasn't a long hallway, I could walk about 3 or 4 steps and have the kitchen directly to my right and the lounge room in front of me. Stepping into the lounge room I dump my stuff there before finally taking the bulky jacket off and dumping where I stood. Making my way to the balcony, I open the doors inwards and step out, there wasn't much room probably enough for a small seat or stool and that would be it.

There isn't really a view, but luckily there isn't much noise either, I see a few people walk past every now and then. The sun is setting and head back inside before I invite bugs and cold breezes in. I check to make sure the lights, heating and power points work before taking one of my bags of clothes  upstairs to my, taking out a sports bra, underwear, baggy clothes and a towel that I brought with me and heading towards the bathroom and having a short shower. Half to check that the water was on and half to just relax a bit after the long day I've had, I didn't need to get up early or anything, it just felt like such a long day.
Stepping out in the bathroom once more I start making mental notes on what I'd need to buy soon and what could wait. Putting on the bra, I felt  uncomfortable, but once the baggy blue shirt and black basket ball shorts were on it helped to disguise my chest. Turning the fan on my way out of the bathroom I let that remove the steam as I towel dry my hair while walking the few steps to my bedroom. By now it was nearly dark outside, I dump my dirty clothes by the door then went back downstairs to get my phone, sleeping bag, pillow and fluffy fleas blanket.

I set up my sleeping bag and other bedding in my room, and sat with my phone looking any place that would deliver at this time. I just ended up calling dominos for a small meatlovers and large mountain due. While waiting for the pizza I went over to inbuilt cupboard and started unpacking my clothes into it.
By the time I finished my pizza was here, I ran down all the stairs to the door that lead out to street when I heard the doorbell. After paying and saying thanks, I walts back upstairs, food in hand and sit and eat.

It's starting to get late now, so I decide to bed. Once the lights off I'm thankful for the fact the place came with shutter blinds and blocked out the street lights and headlights of any passing cars.
