My First Date

When I was around the age of thirteen I began to really explore the concept of dating. I had officially gotten my first boyfriend. We were going to school together, but still I barley knew him. It probably wasn't the best idea, but since when do teenagers use logic?

My boyfriend, whose name I wont mention, decided that we should "go on a date". There are many things that can constitute a "date", but for us it was just hanging out and watching a movie. I was so nervous, but I knew it was probably just first time jitters. I knew it was really no big deal, but that didn't take the nerves away.

My date gets to my house, and we start to watch our movie. His dad and my dad were really good friends, so our parents decided to hang out. They were going to stay outside in my dads man cave until the movie was done. We spent most of our time talking.

The T.V. was sitting directly in front of our big picture window. If you don't know what that is, its basically just a gigantic window that takes up most of the wall. You could clearly see the whole front yard from where we were sitting. I should probably tell you that my dad is an occasional drinker. He doesn't always drink, but when he does it's normally the good stuff.

My date and I were having a really nice time. It seemed almost " perfect". We were too busy paying attention to each other and the movie to notice my dad walking through the front yard. He pops up on the other side of the window, screams "VODKA!!!!!!" at the top of his lungs, and passes out.

Normally I would have been mad at him for embarrassing me, but it was way too funny. If you ever want to know what one hundred proof Vodka will do to you, just ask my dad. My date thought it was the funniest thing he had seen in his life. Lets just say my family made a lasting impression. As for my dad, he didn't remember anything the next morning.
