I was 5 when I learned what love was to my father. I was playing with Undyne when she was making her Barbies kiss and making them say stuff like, "I love you.." and stuff, and I wondered what love meant, so I want my dad, W.D Gaster.
"Dada," my 5 year old self said, "what is love?"
"Well Papyrus," Dad said seriously, "love is when a man and a woman like each other very much, like me and mommy."
"Ok" and then I toddled up the stairs.
A few years later, I was 8, I started hearing kids saying how they had 2 dads, I didn't know what that meant. I didn't ask my dad that time or my brother, Sans. Mother had died that year, so I asked god.
"Dear god," I parade, "thank you for this day, I want to know, what does it mean to have 2 dads or 2 moms? Did they get married twice? Amen."
In 6th grade, people were saying how they were gay, transgender, lesbian, and other stuff. By that time I was very confused, I didn't know what those words meant. I was 11, fresh out of Elementary school, I didn't know what it meant to be gay. I asked my dad what it meant, all he said was, let's change the subject."
