I woke up to an argument coming from downstairs, and I got curious so I went down the stairs slowly as to not draw any attention to myself. I saw Alan's mom, Alan, and Animal control. "SHE BJT YOUR FATHERS ARM OFF AND IS CURRENTLY IN THE FUCKING HOSPITAL!!!!" "WELL IN MY OPINION HE DESERVED IT!!!" then the animal control officer chimed in, "Look, I don't see any animals here so if this 'monster' doesn't-"

Alan's POV

Did he just call her a monster? "SHE IS NOT A MONSTER "SHE DID IT OUT OF DEFENSE!" that's when we heard crying from the stairs, the animal control officer went over and he exclaimed in succession, along with screams of terror, I was going to run after him but my mom held me back while Alice was dragged outside. I had to do something, then I remembered a law we were told in school

"As you might've heard there is a new law, anyone who is part animal must have a owner or else if they do something wrong they will get taken away and sold"

"WAIT!!!" "What is it now kid?" by this time I had gotten out of my mom's grasp, "You have no right to take her." "Why? She doesn't have a owner" if looks could kill, that NM officer would've been done and barried, she was glaring daggers at him, "If she doesn't have an owner, then I'm Kanye West." In other words I was claiming I had owned her even though I didn't, "Wait this is your dog?" "I was putting her on trial and I've decided I'm gonna keep her." Alice had a look of confusion while the officer had a look like, "Oh shit." After he drove away, I got smacked by Alice, "I deserved that." while rubbing my cheek, "You are an idiot Alan." "I know, but at least I saved your ass." "Thanks for that by the way." "Come on, now I need to get you a collar. 😅" we went to the pet store where we had to get Alice fitted for a collar I told Alice that she could look around while I got her a collar. After a couple of hours they got a really pretty collar which looked hella expensive, "Bruh, I cant pay for this, this looks way too expensive." "Who said you were paying for it? I'm giving it to you, I was actually wondering when you and that cute wolf was gonna come in here, I had the design ready." "Uh thanks." I looked around for Alice when I saw her with the smaller animals. She had her face up against the glass and her tail was wagging, damn shes cute I snuck up on her and put the collar on her two seconds later the sales man came up to me and handed me a remote, "You're gonna need that, its 'required' that all collars are shock collars now."
