Once, there was a village called Rumble town. In this village, all villagers were satisfied with the weather and good crops. In the middle of the village was a big orange rock. It was in the shape of a sleeping tiger. There was a poem beside the sleeping tiger. It says:

When danger comes,

The tiger would wake.

It will save the village from

Suffering and distress by making crops and a lake.

One summer, the weather was scotching hot and food was running low because the crops were dying in the heat. Children can't play outside anymore. As days went by, food was becoming scarcer. The plump little children became as thin as a stick.

One day a woman could not stand to see her children shrinking into bony little kids. So, she ran into the middle of the village and shouted, "Why isn't the tiger waking up when food is scarce. Is the poem true or is it a fraud?"

All the villagers who were walking by mumbled to one another, soon the whole village were filled with mumbles and whispers. Suddenly, a girl spoke up, "I think the tiger will wake up soon."

The woman asked her, "So you disagree with me?"

The little girl said, "Yes." The little girl left the crowd.

That evening, children from the whole village came to a big oak tree, each carrying bouquet of flowers because the little girl who was the leader of the little group had asked them to bring a bouquet of flowers because they would need them later.

The next morning, the children slipped unseen past the elders and they all met up near the sleeping tiger. They each placed their bouquet of flowers beside the sleeping tiger. Then, they held hands and chanted the poem. Soon, they were too tired to stand up, so they all flopped in a pile.

Suddenly, one of the children shouted, "I saw its tail twitched." Another said that he saw its ear turned. The leader who was the closest to the tiger felt a rumble. Then, it became louder and louder till all of them ran off and pumped their hands to the sky.

The elders saw the children running with a smile on their faces. They knew exactly what happened, so they huddled together and waited for the explosion.

They saw the tiger opened its mouth and yawned so loudly that everyone fell backwards. When, they got up they saw crops popping up and lake forming. Soon, the whole village was filled with 'yipees' and 'yahoos'. Suddenly, the young leader saw that the tiger had disappeared and told the elders to call that day 'Tiger's Day' and on that day everyone must yawn ten times. From that day onwards everyone would yawn a lot.
