The rain washes clean what the sun does not
The smudge of dirt and grease that fought
Thunder rolls like waves above
Pouring down it's tears of loveLightning kisses the earth below
Setting trees and rocks aglow
Devastation's left behind
But it's just another tale defined
Legends told of what's above
Fire raining down to mudThe rafters shake and windows shiver
When the rain comes closer hither
It wipes away the present tears
Hides us from our mournful fearsA cloak is she who pours it down
Invisible when we wear her crown
Be it rain or tears no one would know
And that is why it's a gift to show
When thunder rolls and lightning cracks
I know the rain will have my backPaws will hide and wings will shrink
Tree will fall when weather's glasses clink
The celebration of water; light
It illuminates the twilight skyThose who are privy to this marveled show
Can enchant themselves in skies that glow
You simply stare outside and smile
Close your eyes and listen awhileLet the sounds drip down your back
Hear the rolling thunder crack
Feel the streams of water bold
Let it cleanse your dreams and soul
