Chapter Two "Meeting my Mate"

(Lily P.O.V)

Now that the royal address had been made, and the passing of the crown was complete. Its time for me to enter the preparations for the Throne. Prince Drago's Parents had arrived the day before, and we were all to have a royal bunch, those in both Kingdoms it was a private dining hall only for royals and our maids and attendants and the captains and generals of the guards. The Hall was so beautiful with is combination of marble gold and emerald, accents. The floor was marble with swirls of gold. The furniture and aged oak framed in emerald, and the softest vision you could sit on.
It was a informal way for us to be introduced to each other and discuss the arrangement for the wedding and to meet each other for the first time. There was assigned seating me and Prince Drago would be sitting in a VIP section away from the crowd but still within their gaze. Everyone else sat together according to there office; the servants and maids sitting together, captains, and generals sitting together, attendants sitting together, and finally the King and Queen of both Kingdoms sitting together. I was eager to see Prince Drago but also so nervous my poor paws were shaking.

As I walk over to our special table, He is standing there waiting for me. As The Great Lion has said we are mated together for the purposes of making the kingdoms a pride and bringing harmony and peace to the land.
When you are mated to someone the person is your soulmate destined from before time existed. There is an automatic attraction, and love, for one another that can not be explained. Powered by an enormous physical attraction, pulling the two together through sexual intercourse. For the mating to be sealed or binding you must mark each other during sex and choose one another freely.
Usually this is the only requirement for the mated pair to stay together. During this process, you can have sexual intercourse with others, but once the marks are made, it extremely unlikely to want anyone other than your mate. The Great Lion has decided are fate during the mating process before the marking, we can not mate with another or the Kingdom will be doomed to be in war for the rest of our reign, talk about pressure?!

Some many things are going through my head, I am trying to remain calm and collected but my emotions are showing on my face. Looking at Prince Drago, I feel electricity coming from my belly, I feel heat in my heart, and my very most intimate place feels like a river is flowing out of me.

"My Queen you seem to have something on your mind, please sit and talk with me", Prince Drago says as he pulls out the chair for her to sit down.
"Im sorry my lord, I was just temporarily distracted you have my full attention", said Queen Lily, as Prince Drago moved his chair to sit beside her.
" I am overwhelmed as I look into your eyes, my Queen, you are simply gorgeous. I do understand the present state of affairs, and I assure you I welcome beging by your side, too make our Kingdoms a Pride".

(Dragos P.O.V)

As Queen Lily walked in the room so gracefully, my eyes fell on her and I was captured by her beauty. There was this surge of power flowing through me of lust, and love, and excitement. Could she be my true Mate? I never felt this way for any feline before, and yet I could not come to smile as I seen her looking so confused and upset. I am trying to gather myself not to let my manhood rise, and the overwhelming flood of emotions going through my heart, mind, and soul. As we begin to talk I try to reassure her that I am hear for her and she can trust me. The first thing I did was move closer to her, sitting face to face and being so close I decide, I can hold my composure no longer. I place my arm around her back, my other arm on her chin drawing her face to mine, and I begin to kiss her luscious lips, softly to calm her. Then she grabs my head and places her paws rubbing my fur. She kisses me deeply and let out a loud moan.

"My Boy, please get a hold of yourself this is not the time take your wife", roared my Father King Edward.
My mother Queen Emily put her head down in disgrace, while Lilys Parents blushed and laughed. Truly our Kingdoms had different views on public displays of affection. We were both quite flushed with red faces, as we decided to eat our brunch. We talked about many things, we laughed and joked, and when it came time to leave. I did not want to leave my wife. However, it was customary for the Kings to meet with the military and royal attendants concerning the security and merging of the kingdoms to become a Pride. As I kissed her on the cheek, she whispered in my ear, "please met me in my secret garden by the back of the place West Wing door at midnight", and I nodded in agreement and walked away.

(Lilys P.O.V)

I may have walked into the room confused but I walked out in expectancy of our meeting in my private garden at midnight. It was the only area of the palace that was completely private made just for me, while the entrance was visible to all, once opening the door there was a second door that I can only open to allow entrance into the garden.
It was the only place I had growing up where I could be alone. It was special to me, I made it with my father it was his gift to me. I had a smile on my face, and for the first time since knowing I would be Queen, I had a little peace of mind. Yet it was soon to be threatened when I ran into one of Dragos soldiers.

"You should really watch were your going, people who come too close to me wind up in the hospital", Growled a female solider of the highest rank.
"Well Sharon, you should watch how you speak to the Queen, it was clearly an accident, and I dont take kindly to disrespect", Queen Lily said firmly.
"Let me make one thing good and clear, you are no Queen to me, In fact Prince Drago should be mine", General Sharon said with a glare.
"Before you came along, I was the closest woman to him, and I have had all of him, and him all of me", General Sharon said with distain.
"Know this, He will be mine once again and I will do everything in my power to get him back after the royal ball tomorrow night. So you best prepare yourself, Im sure you know about the prophecy", General Sharon said with a smirk.
  "I bet you do not know if the King or Queen should mate with any other during the mating process as decreed by The Great Lion our god, that person has right and ownership to share the crown", General Sharon said thin with a hateful laugh.

I pushed General Sharon up against the wall in a flash, I held my paws to her neck, looked her dead in the eyes, "If you come near my Husband, I will kill you"!

She grabbed her sword, "Don't you dare I growled loudly, know your place Bitch, if its a fight you want, a fight you will get", said Queen Lily I reserved fury. "Your'e on my territory and He is my King, my man, and I will kill you dead bite your very heart out of your chest before I let you take my man or rule our kingdom", Queen Lily said with confidence.
I let Sharon go, never taking my gaze off of her, my emerald eyes begin to glow, the feline in me was ready to emerge, I had to calm her. I straighten my dress and I walked away.

Finally, alone in my room I began to undress, I need a bubble bath to calm down, who does Sharon think she is to challenge Me? I began to run my bubble bath placing elegant oils in the water along with, rose pedals and lavador petals, the whole bathroom smelled divine, and I stepped my paws in my steaming hot bubble bath. I laid my head back and closed my eyes, and thats when my feline began to speak to me, her name is Latoya. You see, we are descent of the Black Panther as well as human blood running through our veins. The human part of us, is normally in operation although we do not look human. However, our feline is always there, and can come out at any time. So, we must learn to have a great deal of self-control as our raw animal instincts can most times be untamed.

"Lily why did you not let me kill her", my feline Latoya shouted in my mind aggressively.
"Latoya there is a time and a place, it would not be diplomatic of me, to kill the general of the female army".
"Latoya, must remember we are trying to avoid war at all cost". "Lily you mean to tell me she threatens our man and our throne, and you're being political", Latoya said sarcastically.
"Latoya we will expose and deal with her in time, right now we can not do anything to cause a disturbance between kingdoms" Lily said calmly. "So, calm your ass down, I got everything under control", I said in my drama queen voice.
