The loss hit the Ravenclaw team hard. Armin had plans for next year's games and lots of valuable information in his notebook. Once he got it back, he started reworking everything he had done inside.

The Slytherin team didn't show many signs of guilt. Whenever I talked to Mikasa, she avoided talking about Quidditch for a while. I felt like they were a little ashamed of what they did. They all were just good at hiding it.

A couple of weeks passed and February came. Mikasa started dating Levi and they were spotted holding hands on the Quidditch pitch. Naturally, the word spread quickly and it reached our parents. Mum was happy for them, but Dad didn't say anything until later on.

Dad taught the lesson like he normally did, but towards the end of class, he called Mikasa up to the front. I was close enough to hear what they were talking about.

"Why did you break up with Annie?"

"Father, what's this about?" she asked.

It had been a while since they broke up. Why was he concerned about them now?

"You two were in a perfectly fine relationship, but then you ditch her for Ackerman?"

"We weren't in a 'perfectly fine' relationship, Dad. Neither of us felt good about it anymore. I like Levi and he likes me back. There's nothing wrong with that," Mikasa reasoned.

"That's what you think," Father replied. "The Ackerman family is far from an equal for our family. He's probably only dating you for our money."

"You don't know that," Mikasa fired back, "He never comments on the family or our money. He only talks about me as an individual. He's not a gold digger. He has a fine amount of money for himself."

"I'm not going to argue with you, Mikasa. I don't approve of you dating Ackerman. That's that. Do what you will with that knowledge. Don't disappoint me," he finished and sat down.

Mikasa returned to me and didn't say anything.

I looked at her, "You don't need Dad's approval. You have Mum's," I told her.

She sighed, "I don't... I don't just like him, Eren."

"I know," I replied, "Hold onto him. Don't let Dad control your love life."

She breathed a chuckle, "I could say the same thing to you."

I sighed, "I'm trying..." I murmured.

The Ackermans were more than comfortable. They're a pure blood family in the upper-middle class and Dad wasn't happy with that? Armin is in the lower-middle class and a half blood living with his muggle grandfather. What chance did I have with Dad?

Practices were less than lively after the game. The loss affected Ian for a couple of weeks. He blamed himself for all our shortcomings and even said he should quit playing. Hearing something like that from him alarmed all of us and Rico and I basically said that he's not allowed to quit.

Connie was also affected by the game. He felt like he was losing his touch and he started going to the Quidditch pitch with Sasha to practice.

Rico took over making a plan for the game with Gryffindor. I already had a lot ahead of me to rewrite my notes and I was too stressed to come up with a plan. She often went to the library to work.

So I was left alone with Eren. I spent most of our time together working on my Quidditch notes while we talked. And by "talked", I mean while I vented about how frustrated I was with trying to keep the team together.
