Chapter 4:

Skylar's POV:

Everyone was running around the place. People and medics were checking on guests. People were looking for family. Diamond was tending to my arm. My brothers weren't anywhere in sight probably checking on the gate. My dad was checking on the guards. My sister being my sister was talking to the cops. She had this perfect demeanor for the public. She knew what say and what not to say. "Momma hasn't come to check on any of us." I said as I started to panic. I kept looking for her. I needed to know she was ok like my life depended on it.

Then I saw a cop talking to my dad. I was watching them to see if I could get any information. I saw my dad put his head down and try to hold it together. By then I knew that what ever the cop said wasn't good. Both the twins and I walked up to my father, and I was nervous. I felt like a scared little girl. "What's wrong papa?" I asked almost not wanting to know the answer. "Mamma E Morta." (Mamma is dead.) My dad said as his voice broke.

That's when I broke. That is when my fears had become true. That's when I saw my father broke as well. Wanna kill the king? You take out the queen, and that's what happened. My dad just died. He was just dead inside. As I collapse to the ground Magnus caught me. I didn't care who saw me. I just lost my mother. Our family just lost the light to it. So, I didn't care if I just showed my weakness to the mafia. I just cried into my brothers. I screamed out in pure anger and hurt. I was gonna find who took my mother. I am gonna kill the person who took the light from our family and I am gonna bring down their whole operation.

As the police was all over the place, I just stood there emotionless. These people had no clue what they were looking for. There was no evidence, and obviously there was only the body of my mother. "What happened to your arm"? The cop asked me. I just looked at him. "My mother has just been killed and you ask about my arm?" I snapped at him. "Easy there, I am just trying to find out who attacked you guys." The officer said trying to calm me down. "Obviously I got grazed by a bullet." I snapped as I walked away.

As I walk up to Matt I see that he's on the phone with someone. "Bro I need you to come back to the states. Mamma has been killed." Matt says on the phone. There was a pause for a few seconds. "Look G I know you don't wanna to, but we need you." There was another pause before my brother said "ok see you soon" ending the phone conversation. "You're brining him here?" I asked pissed off. "Sky we need him." Magnus say behind me. I turn around and throw my rage at my other brother. "WE NEED HIM?! HUH"? I asked. "Skylar he will come, mom gave him a family when everyone thought of him as killer. Matt says. I turn to him. "Yeah, well look what that did? He's across the ocean." I said. I pushed passed them and head to the basement. I start shooting at the targets like endless targets. I was so in rage that I just kept shooting.

After three hours the twins come down. "Sky you need rest." Matt says as I continue to shoot at the targets. "I'm not going anywhere." I said. "You need to rest your arm baby sister". Magnus says. "Yeah where was my body guard when I got shot at?" I asked. "It was a fucking party." Matt says, as magnus steps in front of the targets. I shoot my gun grazing Magnus's side. "Next time when you say you wanna be a body guard, do you fucking job." I say. "You're fucking crazy." Matt says walking away pissed off. I go grab the bandages and tend to Magnus's arm. "I know your pissed off butterfly, but you need to call down for dad." Magnus say as he hisses in pain and he just simply hugs me. He hugs me and that's all it took for me to break again. The emotionless mask came off and I just cried. He hugs me tight and rubs me back. "We will get them butterfly. I promise you we will end this." Magnus says.
