the entrance to the flame family residence was knocked repeatedly.
no response.
however, after a few knocking attempts, father seemed to release a sigh of relief as we heard the sound of footsteps walking closer to both of us. i slowly dug my fingers onto my mother's kimono as soon as the pinches of pain on my chest seems to grow and leaves me with stiff feelings.
the door creaked open, revealing an elegant woman peeking her head to take a good view of us.
"who might you be?"
the young woman, with unruly dark hair tied into low ponytail smiled upon seeing us. had it or not, we gained access to enter the house after father explained about our arrival there, for the sake of figuring how to cope out with my disease.
"i am the master of (last name) household. i am sure the master of this house has received my letter a fortnight ago. therefore, we are here with a wish."
"follow me, sir, ma'am."
impressive.
the household of rengoku has always been known all over for their traditions. arts and as well as culture can never be seperated from their bloodline. walking down the hallway, the house was such a fame. the interior design of the houss was apprehensive and amazing to gaze at.
we stopped right when the woman knocked on the sliding door to the living room, informing the master of the house of us.
"master, you have some guests. they are the (last name)s."
"let them in."

"oh, if it's not my dear friend!!"
"shinjuro, i see that you are doing great!"
the two elderly men laughed as they hugged each other with happiness overwhelming them. my mother smiled warmly, rubbing my shoulder and pulled me close to her.
"they are good friends. the people here are kind too. don't worry okay?"
"i'm glad."
i let out a sigh of relief, feeling the boulder in my heart become lighter. later, we family and shinjuro rengoku sat down on the tatami mat while his wife, ruka, the one who led us to him poured green tea for us.
father is a very easygoing guy. even to someone looking so fierce liks shinjuro, he manages to befriends him for many years. his wife, ruka, doesn't seems to be threatened either, rather than exchanging smiles and words with us.
father then begin to explain about what has happened to stumble upon me. flame patterned mark that appeared out of the blue on my skin that pained me to one point where i cried the whole day due to the much suffering. that's just really weird.
"i've never heard any such things like that. not even once did any of us in this family had ever receives the mark."
shinjuro rubbed his temple, persuading my father that he does not have the slightest clue of the symptom. he insisted to ask lady ruka, but she too, shaked her head unknowingly telling us she has never heard of it either.
sooner or later, i am going to tear up. the edge of my eyes was about to release the load of tears, however, my heart convinced my senses to keep it cool. mother, who noticed my crocodile tears pulled me closer to her embrace.
what if i can't be cured? are there anything i can do to cure?
or could it be that the only option i have is demise?
i bowed my head down, dissapointment displayed in my clear (eye color) eyes. the room went into a completely deep silence for a short moment.
"maybe our son have a clue... what do you think, dear?"
"good idea. well, he's still at the butterfly estate."
"then i guess we all need to wait for him first."
ruka nodded, pouring another cups of tea onto the rest of the visitors' cups. as the master of the household explained about their son, a medicinal expert at the butterfly estate, my jaw dropped a bit.
this person, kyoujuro, must be an amazing being. as explained by shinjuro, his first son, kyojuro, has created various potions and medicine to counter with scares obtained from demon's massacre. from creating herbal based medicine to blood supplies, he is good at anything as long as it is medicinal related.
we listened to shinjuro's story about his son, until it lasted for half an hour long
