Chapter 24 Prank

(Luna's POV)

"That's the last of it" Angel said, setting down a the black leather couch in our parents living room

Both Cam and Angel groaned as they set it down slowly

I smiled, putting a black vase with white flowers on the table

"All done?" I heard Helena ask from behind me

I turned around and nodded my head

"It looks fantastic, thank you" she smiled at us

I didn't say anything, I just walked over to the door

"How about you three stay for dinner?" My dad asked, appearing from around the corner

"Thanks, but Casey and I already have plans" I lied

"Oh come on Luna, it will be our first family dinner together. You know, all of us" Henela said

My dad seemed to get a bit uncomfortable when she said that

"Yeah, let's stay" Cam said, smiling down at me

I opend my mouth to say no again, but my phone ringed

"Excuse me" I said, answering the phone call

"Hello" I asked

"I see you" someone said in a deep voice

"What?" I asked

"You look so beautiful" his voice low and deep

"Who is this" I asked

"I'll see you soon" he ignored my question and then hung up

"Hello, who is this?" I asked louder

But the line was dead

"Luna, whats the matter?" Angel asked, putting his hand on my shoulder

"Nothing, nothing, it was a stupid prank or something" I said, putting my phone away

"You sure?" Cam asked me

I nodded my head

"I would love to stay, but I really do have to go" I told my dad and Helena

"Are you sure?" They asked me

"Yeah, I haven't really been out with him in a while and I don't want him to start thinking that I've forgotten about him" I smiled and walked over to grab my keys

"Angel, Cam, you'll both stay, right?" Helena asked

"Of course, mom" Cam said as Angel, watched me

"Angel?" His mom asked

"Yeah, sure" he said, turning his attention back to his mother

"Bye" I called out, before walking out the door

I heard an echo of 'goodbyes' before shutting their new front door

"Luna" I heard someone call out

I turned around and saw my father looking at me

"Hey, listen, I know that our relationship has been really.... rocky sence your mom died. I also know that you don't like Helena and I've realized how much you have been trying to get along with here. I just wanted to say thank you. Really, I can tell how much you have been trying to except her and I wanted to thank you." he smiled at me

"Dad, I-" I started, but he stopped me

"Just let me finish, I know you still don't want this marriage to happen, but I love her and I know it might not have seemed like it, after your mother died, but I love you too. You were my only family and I pushed you away. I couldn't be what your mother was to you, so I thought that you would be better off without me" he told me

"You don't even realize how much all I wanted was a simple hug" I whispered

"I'm sorry, I truly thought you would be better off without me" he told me

"Well I wasn't" I said

"I know, I know. Can we just please start over?" He asked me

I staired into his glowing eyes, they were so bright, so illuminating with happiness, yet there was something missing

What it was, I had no idea

"Yeah, I guess we can" I said

He smiled at me and nodded his head

"Good, I'll see you later?" He asked

I nodded my head and smiled

He then patted my shoulder and then turned around and walked away

I took in a deep breath and shook my head

I heard the door close behind him

I turned around and walked to my car

"Wait!" I heard my dad yell

I stopped walking and turned around

He jogged towards me and wrapped his arms around me

"I thought it was about time you got that hug you wanted" he whispered into my ear

I smiled and held onto him tightly

We stayed like that, hugging eachother for a long while, before letting go

"Thank you" I smiled at him, holding my my tears

"No, thank you Luna" he said and kissed my forehead

He turned around and started walking towards his new house

Now I really couldn't tell him about Helena taking his money. He was too happy, I couldn't ruin that for him

As I was turning around, I saw Helena, Angel and Cam, all looking at me

Helena and Cam had a smile on their faces, but when I looked at Angel, I realized he was frowning

But he wasn't looking at me, he was looking, beyond me

I turned around and saw a black car with tinted windows

The drivers window was slight rolled down

I started walking towards it, but it quickly sped away

I frowned my eyebrows in confusion

"Huh" I huffed

I turned around and saw that Angel was now the only one that was standing there, looking at me

We looked into eachothers eyes and then I got into my car

As soon as I was in, my phone was being bombed with Angel's texts

I didn't answer any of them, because I was driving, so I just ignored them and went home

I quickly got out of my car and walked inside my house and locked the doors behind me

The whole time, I felt like someone was watching me

It hadn't been more than 20 minutes since I left my dads house, but I didn't like the feeling of having no one here but me

This house used to be filled with laughter and happiness, and now it's just dark and empty

I quickly walked up the stairs and changed into something more comfortable

I won't back down the stairs and turned on the TV

The whole time I was in my house, I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was there.

Someone that wasn't welcomed

But who, who could it be?

Was there even anyone there?
