Chapter 25 Rain

(Luna's POV)

I was sitting on the sofa as it poured outside

By now it was 9:00 at night and Angel and Cam weren't back yet

The constant pounding of the rain pouring outside, made me jump every few minutes

The feeling that someone was watching me, still hadn't gone away

The sound of SpongeBob's laughter on the other hand, filled the silent room

When the commercials came on, I jumped up on my feet and walked over to the kitchen to grab some tea to calm my nerves

I turned on the lights and grabbed a mug

I truly didn't like being alone and the pit in my stomach wasn't helping

Out of nowhere, all the lights cut off and I heard the front door open and close loudly

"Angel?" I called out

No one answered

"Cam"

Still no answer

My heart sped up and I could feel my body heat rise

I stayed slient, reaching for a sharp knife

My breathing was heavy

All I heard were heavy foot steps

I silently walked over to the corner of the kitchen and slid down the wall, crouching on the floor

I swallowed loudly, trying to calm myself

I couldn't see the entrance of the kitchen, but I could hear his feet pounding on the floor

They were steady, but the closer they got, the more I begged for someone to save me

I took a deep breath and squeeze my hand around the end of the knife

My breathing quicked, and I jumped up, holding the knife above my head

"Luna, Luna, Luna" Angel yelled, trying to grab my hand before I plunged it into him

I immediately dropped the knife on the floor and jumped into his arms

"Oh my God" I cried out, squeezing him against me

"Hey, it's okay, I'm right here" he said, laying his hand on my head, while his other arm wrapped protectively around my waist

"Why didn't you say anything?" I asked, not letting go of him

"Well, all the lights were out, and I assumed you were asleep" he said "I heard someone scurry around in the kitchen and I thought someone had gotten in" he told me

"I called out to you" I said, trying to get my breathing back to normal

"I didn't hear you, Im sorry" he said, bringing his lips down to my neck

He smelled of mint

His body against mine calmed me instantly

I didn't want to, but I let him go

"Hey, I'm right here Pigeon, I'm not going anywhere" he promised me

I tried to hold back my tears and set my hands on his arms

My hand slowly made their way to his hands

My fingers stopped at A braided fabric around his wrist

When I looked down, I realize that he had on the bracelet that I gotten him for his birthday

"You kept it"
I smiled, looking up at his eyes

"Of course I did, it was your birthday present to me" he told me, caressing my cheek

"Come on" he told me, taking my hand

I followed him up the stairs and into my bedroom

Before I could ask what he was doing, he pulled my blankets back and hinted me to get into bed

Did as I was told and crawled onto my bed

He smiled and pull the covers over my body, covering me completely

"Sleep now, don't worry about anything, I'll protect you" he promised

I smiled, but he got up and started his way out the door

"Wait!" I called out in a panic

He stopped walking and turned around to look at me

"Please stay" I asked

"Luna-" he started

"Please" I asked again

He took a deep breath and walked over to the other side of my bed

He took his Black leather jacket and pants off

He got into bed and nothing but his white T-shirt and boxers

He didn't get under the covers, he just stayed silent, looking up at the ceiling
I turned in my bed, getting closer to Angel

I rested my head on his chest, listening to the rhythm of his heartbeat

It was steady at first, but as soon as I made contact with his bare skin, it quickend

"Sorry, is just not okay? I asked, using my palms to push myself off of him

"No!" he said loudly, pulling me back down on top of him

I chuckled, cuddling up to his side

He wrapped his arms around me, pulling him closer to me

"This isnt alright, is it?" I asked him

He stayed silent for a while

"No, it's not" he said

"Then why are we doing this?" I asked

Once again, he didn't say anything

All I could hear was the rain outside and the beat of his heart

"Because I can't stay away" he whispered

"What?" I asked

He opened his mouth, but didnt say anything

"Just sleep, we can talk later" he told me

"But-"

"Sleep" he repeated

So I did

Sorry for the long wait

I wanted to post this, because tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I don't think I'll have a lot of time to write

I will say, that because tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I have a bit of a break from school, so I'll have a bit of more free time to write

What I'm trying to say is I guess that you should be expecting more chapters from my books

Also, I wanted to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving. If you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, then I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow
