chapter seventeen

Madison POV
Today is my day off from work, I have been sleeping all day  feeling lazy to do anything  the only thing I did today was to prepare Avery for school after that I was just relaxing and watching TV. It's almost time for Avery to be home I was even lazy to prepare lunch for her since Lexi will be the one picking her from school I was thinking of ordering pizza. It's now half hour past Avery school closings time I was beginning to get worried  I hope nothing is wrong.

I started to panicked when I called Lexi number twice she is not picking next thing I heard where little feet running towards me. Mummy mummy  look what daddy bought for me she was holding a pink teddy bear... I picked her up and kissed her forehead it's beautiful baby... Did you had a lovely time with your daddy.... Yes mummy next time I want you to join us... I looked at Lexi she was smiling I just nodded at her... Baby go into your room and change so I can order for pizza.... Daddy already bought Chinese food ....ok go and change and come downstairs... Ok mummy she ran upstairs.... I glared at lexi I told you to bring her on time.... I know I just wanted to take her out for a little bit.... I called your phone you never picked up I was worried thinking something happened to her next time don't take her anywhere without telling me first I don't trust her with anyone.... Am her Dad Madison I won't hurt or let anything happen to her and am sorry for not telling you before taking her to the park.

Lexi POV
I have noticed how Madison is always tense when ever am close to her is she afraid of me because of what I did to her in the past...seeing her angry at me because I wanted a little time with my daughter without letting her know I wasn't happy that is why I apologize instantly I don't want her thinking a different thing.... After apologizing to her we became silent waiting for Avery to come down stairs so that we can have lunch together it was uncomfortable silence I wanted to initiate conversation with her.... So how was your day I looked at her she tensed up before clearing her throat.... It was OK... So what did you do..... Nothing really I lazy around... OK....daddy let eat the Chinese food am hungry...ok baby I open her food for her she started eating real quick... Baby slow down I don't want you choking Madison scorn Avery I looked at her she wasn't eating her food.... You don't like the food I asked her she tensed up again... Um no I don't eat Chinese food.... Oh I didn't know would you like for me to order something else for you.... No.. Thanks am not really hungry I would eat during dinner time.... Daddy would you stay for dinner again tonight.... I wish I could but I have work to do... She started pouting..... Baby I really love to start but daddy has something to do so please angel don't be mad at me... OK daddy but next time  you will stay right.... Yes baby I will try and stay if am less busy.

After finishing eating I stood up since its time for me to leave, I kissed Avery on her forehead bye baby I need to go to the office....no I want you to stay.... Baby daddy needs to go to the office.... But I want to spend time with you.... Avery stop it your daddy need to go to work now tell  her goodbye.... Bye daddy I love you.... I love you too baby... I walked toward the door and open it... Hmm bye Madison she looked at me I just fake smiled before saying bye....
I walked towards my office I open the door I saw Ashley looking pissed where were you babe is almost 2hours passed your break time ...i....i... I.... She cut me off... Just tell met the truth.... Please Lexi am tired of all your lies.... You want to know the truth I went out to pick my child from school..... W... What  d... do you mean Lexi.... She said shocked with tears in her eyes.
