story two- The Magic Act

I grab my bag, and hurry on the stage to perform. I get out my magic wand and pose for the cameras. Nobody can resist my amazing face. My first trick is to make someone disappear and reappear. "Who would like to be a volunteer?" I call through the microphone. I see many hands go up, but I call on a middle aged woman. "What's your name?" I say like a magician to keep my reputation. and my job. "I'm Georgia." like the state. I think, I don't know all the 34 states. "I would like for you to step in the box." I point to the big, purple box right next to us. "alrighty." She steps inside and I close the doors. "I will now make her disappear. I take my magic wand and tap the box. I open the doors to find that the trick really worked. Georgia really disappeared. I wait for the applause to die down. "Now, I will open the doors and help Georgia out of the box." I open the doors, but she is not there. this can't be happening. I slam the doors closed. "Next act." I grab my hat and my wand. "I will make an egg appear out of this and land on my head." I take my hat and tilt it upside down to demonstrate that there is nothing in it. I take my wand and tap it. I put it over my head and feel something I did not think would happen. the egg appeared and opened on my head. egg yolk drips down the side of my face. "I hope you enjoyed the show." I motion for someone to close the curtains.
