They crack your skulls open
And say there's peace.
They harass you online and in real life
And say there's peace.
They take your voice away
And say there's peace.
As you stand fighting for your rights, all broken:
They say you already have peace
And need not have spoken.
A luxury it has become,
bloodshed and terror I see,
in every nook and corner.
Difficult it has become now,
raising an opinion is wrong,
Being secular it isn't secular.
But I make a vow,
the country I've been born,
is the country I shall die.
no matter what happens.
patience that I see in my mother's honey-like eyes
every stray tear that my father had to disguise
all of the things for me that they still sacrifice
creases on their skin like paper as time flies
endless is their love, or where would I be otherwise?
