Chapter Five

We stayed like that for a while, until I finally stopped crying.

"I'm s-s-s-sorry.", I say.

"For what?"

"Unleashing N-N-Niagara Falls on you."

"Don't worry about it, seriously.", he assures me.

"I've never been called b-b-beautiful before."

"Really? I find that hard to believe."

"W-W-Well I've been c-c-called pretty, b-b-but nobody's ev-v-v-er meant it like y-you d-did.", I somehow manage to stutter out.

"Well, I do mean it okay? You're the most beautiful girl I've ever met."

"T-T-Thank you, Johnnie. It really does m-mean a lot-t."

"Anytime. Now get some sleep okay Goodnight, Mel."

"Goodnight J."

I wake up to somebody's alarm going off, and then realize that it wasn't an alarm. It was my phone quietly going off in the other room. I don't worry about Kyle waking up though, he sleeps like a hippopotamus, loudly, athletically and deeply.

I open my eyes to see Johnnie's arms wrapped around my waist and I can feel the back of my body pushed up against his front, his head nuzzled into my neck and our legs tangled up under the blanket. I sort of squirm and he tightens his grip around my waist, but only slightly so its not like he's crushing me.

It's barely light outside so I presume that it's about five in the morning, and by the looks of it Bryan is sound asleep in his bed. I close my eyes and decide to enjoy the moment, before drifting off to sleep again.

This time I'm awakened by Johnnie telling me to get up.

"Cmon, lets go get breakfast.", he whispers before getting up quietly. I get up and sneak back into my room, quietly getting dressed and brushing my hair before meeting Johnnie in the hallway.

"Where are we going exactly?", I ask before making sure I have my phone and putting a pair of sunglasses on to hide my morning ugliness.

"I don't know. Denny's? IHOP?"

"How about we just walk around and see whats near?", I suggest.

"Sounds good.", he says before taking my hand and walking down the hall and into the lobby with me. He also has a pair of sunglasses on, but I'm gonna guess he's wearing his because its bright outside.
