A/N This is the new year's eve party that happened on new year's eve when Draco was six as mentioned in the last chapter. (this is important to the rest of the story) This memory was obliviated from Phoenix, Draco, Ashley and Lucius. ___________________________________
New Year's Eve party, 31st December 1986, Malfoy Manor
3rd Person P.O.V
"Wow Mum, it looks amazing, I can't wait to show Phoenix" said a young Draco Malfoy, running into the ballroom where guests were starting to arrive. "I know Son, I am glad her parents allowed her to start dating you, it will be a fine Marriage in the future," said Lucius, looking at his son with pride.
Suddenly a young 6 year old girl who is a young Phoenix runs towards Draco wearing a green dress (pictured below) almost slips over but falls into Draco's arms.

" Oh I'm so sorry Draco," a blushing Phoenix says looking down at her feet. "what are you sorry for Phoe?" replied Draco in a whisper, tilting her head up to look at him, "Come on, I want to show you something," Draco said leading her out.
Later that night
"Go over there and talk to her you stupid boy, what of she wanders of and some over boy your age starts dating her, that would be very bad for your arranged marriage" said a very drunk Lucius Malfoy as he watched Phoenix run around the ballroom.
The 6 year old boy next to him mumbled in reply, "She's happy Father, that's all I want her to be."
"Draco do what your told"
"No," the 6 year old shouted in defiance.
Lucius Malfoy raised his hand ready to slap the boy in front of him, but where his hand landed was not on his sons face, or nowhere on his son really, Phoenix had jumped in between the father and son and had taken the full force of the slap.
It wasn't a light one.
No, her face was becoming more red and swollen by the second, the next actions had happened in a blur and before Draco knew it, the Ross family had already aparated home to heal their daughter.
