The Plan

  Zager's POV:
   That was easier then I thought. My little sister thinks I actually won the tickets, when in reality her favorite boy band gave them too me.
   Cooper is having a hard time paying the rent of the house, and told me that he will have to double my rent price, because of Catherine staying with us. I can't afford the two of us. He told me that if I can't afford her rent, then she gets kicked out. He said he knows a friend of a friend's that's looking for a girl to adopt, and live with them. I agreed to that, and turned out it was the boy band she's obsessed with.
Cooper has a cousin who is close friends with the group, and he gave them my contact information. Cooper and I met with them today, while Catherine was still in school.
They explained everything of what they're looking for, and why they're wanting to adopt my sister. Something about the one named Liam wanting to be a Father figure. They promised me they would always take good care of her, and they seem like boys who I can trust to keep their word.
I know it's bad selling my little sister this way, but I desperately need the money. What they're paying me, I could finally afford going to back college.
Plus with her medical bills, she's too expensive to live with us. With all the sports, and hobbies, she's known to have a visit to the ER for X-Rays every year. This year she fell off her skateboard, dislocated her elbow, and sprained her wrist. Thankfully her best friend's parents helped me pay for that.
The group One Direction is so rich, they can actually help take care of her medic problems.
During my meeting with them, I went ahead and gave them a list of all her allergies, her allergy meds, and epi pins.
   I know Catherine would never go along with it, if I told her the truth. So I printed out a Star 102.1 envelope, to make it look like I won the passes off the radio. She totally bought it.
It kind of took me off guard when she kissed my cheek for it. Made me feel a little guilty, but I have to go through it.
   "Did it work?" Cooper asked.
I plop down on the couch next to him. "Yeah."

For some reason, I'm starting to feel terrible about this. My parents disappointment is getting in my head.
"Are you okay Man?" Cooper thankfully snapped me out of it.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I chug down what was left of my beer.

My best friend catches on.
"You're not starting to back down, are you?"

Damn, it's like he reads my mind.
I shake my head."No. It's just, she got in my head. That's all."
"How?" He looks at me confused.
I try to explain."She kissed me, and she hadn't done that since we were kids..."

"Man, no. Don't let that make you feel guilty. What they're paying us, we can finally get that speed boat we been wanting. Plus we can get rid of this dump, and finally move into a new home. I need this money..."

I roll my eyes." I know. I need it too..."
The sound of my little sister's footsteps running down the stairs, made us stop talking. We don't want her over hearing anything, and ruining the plan.
I open up another beer, and take a sip out of it.
We hear her walking in the living room.

"Happy Birthday Kitty Cat!"He greets to her.
I just stare at the tv not acknowledging her. I don't want that guilty feeling to come back.
She sounds cheerful."Thanks... Pooper sCopper."

There's the sarcasm I was looking for. I hide my smile by sipping my beer again. I know Cooper hates it when he calls her that, just as she hates being called Kitty Cat.

Cooper chuckles at her sarcasm. "It's my house. I could always ground you on your birthday." He threatens her.

He would really do that too, but I know he wouldn't, now that our plan is working.

I hear her run to open the door. "But I'm not in you're house."
I turn to see her standing in the doorway of the house.
She playfully sticks her tongue at us."Bye. Be back Monday!" She runs out the door closing the door.
"And good ridden's." Cooper scoffs, taking a sip of his beer.
I roll my eyes at Cooper's comment.
I watch out the window as she gets in the truck, and it drives off.
