Ch. 1: Newbie

❤ Caitlyn's POV ❤

So here we go. I'm in Orlando. Where was I previously? Manila. I'm actually half Filipino (mother), half American (father), but we moved to Orlando because one: Relatives. Two: Dad's work. He was stationed in Manila years ago, but now, his boss called him back. Being a 19 year old, I'm going to have to have college here. My sister, Maddy, is gonna attend high school here too. It won't be that bad though. I'm fine with moving. One perk is...Before You Exit. They're from Orlando, so no complaints here. Love them!

Enough of that. Maria and I were walking our Dalmatian, Oreo. "Orlando's nice, right, Cait?" Maddy asked.

I smiled. "Yeah. Fresh."

Then we stopped about four or five blocks from our house. A friendly old lady welcomed us, so I let Maddy walk ahead while I made small talk with the lady. Then something caught my attention. "Cait!" my sister called from a block away.

Oreo was barking at another dog much smaller in size. The dog was barking back though. I saw Maddy apologizing to two boys who were smiling. I noticed that Maddy was grinning crazily. I wondered why. I walked over and then saw why. Riley and Toby McDonough. I fell into step beside my sister and smiled. "I suppose she apologized for Oreo's behavior."

Riley chuckled. "It's really fine. Look."

We looked to the boys' lawn and saw the two dogs playing. "Friends already." Toby grinned.

Then their front door opened and a beautiful woman went out, and she was Joan McDonough. "Is Connor still out?" she asked.

"Yeah." Riley shrugged.

The woman nodded and fixed her gaze on us. She soon approached Maddy and me. "You two must be the new neighbors."

I chuckled. "Word seems to go by quickly, but yes we are."

The boys went "ooooh" while Mrs. McDonough smiled. "I'm Mrs. McDonough, and you've already met Riley and Toby."

"Yup." Maddy laughed. "Nice to meet you."

The family replied similarly. Then the older boy said, "And you girls are...?"

"Oh. I'm Caitlyn, and this is my little sister, Maddy." I smiled.

"Cool."

"Are your parents home? I'd love to welcome them." smiled Mrs. McDonough.

"Oh yes." Maddy smiled.

And before we knew it, we were walking back home with Mrs. McDonough and the two sons. Wonder where Connor was. When we entered our house, I introduced Mom and Dad to the three guests. "Oh, lovely meeting you!" Mom beamed.

Mrs. McDonough replied, "Yes, it is! I'm sure our children will get along well."

Mom and Dad looked towards us in the living room. "True." Dad chuckled.

And while they were talking, we did our own chatting. "First, how old are you girls?" Toby grinned.

"I'm 19." I said. "Riley's age."

Riley smirked and we high fived. Maddy giggled them answered, "I'm 15."

"Just a year younger than me!" Toby declared as they fist bumped.

"Connor is 21 right?" I asked.

"Yup." the two said.

Maddy asked, "Where is he?"

"Studio I think." Riley nodded.

"Ooooh."

"You two major fangirls?" Toby grinned again.

Maddy gave a thumbs up. "Forever Exiter."

"Same here." I smirked.

The two brothers clapped and cheered as if they won an award. Maddy and I chuckled afterwards.

After a little more talking, Mrs. McDonough excused herself, and so did Riley and Toby. "We'll make sure you two meet Conrad." Riley smirked.

"Alright." I smiled.

"See you!" Toby chirped.

And they went back home. As soon as they were far enough, Maddy squealed so much. Dad chuckled, "Easy fangirl."

"Toby!!! Riley!!!" she continued.

I laughed. Mom smirked and teased. "It's Cait's turn soon- Connor."

"That's...actually true. I will probably fangirl." I chuckled.

"Well, they're good people." our parents smiled.

Maddy and I nodded.

Can't wait to meet Connor. Teehee.
