*****buzzzzz***** vibrated the phone*******buzzzz**** waking Reyan who'd barely slept the whole night, the excitement was such.

He picks up the phone to answer the call. "Good morning sweetie" said the sweet voice of his mother, "wake up, it's 6; you don't want to miss the flight, do you?"

The previous night Reyan had asked his mom, who along with his father was out of town for a religious trip; to wake him up by call early morning tomorrow for he couldn't trust himself on alarms, no matter how many he set, the habit was such.

His parents were surprised for the plan to Udaipur was short noticed, never had he ever earlier made such a plan. Informing them just a day before and reason, well, what he told them was far from the truth. He told them he wished on visiting the famous Lord Krishna temple nearby which his parents were fond of too; and so, they couldn't refuse. He wasn't provided such great a freedom from home that he could travel without permission.

There could always be a question about travelling there at some other point of time but his plans were such that this weekend was the only one he had free in the two following months. The second weekend of the month of December in the year 2019. He had his flight booked on Friday evening for Sunday morning and return on the same date, leaving for himself just 8 hours in the city of lakes of India, sufficient if a person were to visit just the temple but definitely not if you wanted to explore.

Udaipur, the city of lakes is located at a distance of roughly six hundred and fifty kilometers from Delhi, Reyan's hometown. Now, if one were to look the city up on web, they would realize that eight hours are just too short to explore a place as splendid but for him that didn't matter, after all, his primary reason for making such a hurried trip was only to meet this special friend who was coming to visit the place all the way from Bangalore, about two hours flight time from Udaipur and three from Delhi.

Meeting her was important to him, he could have gone all the way to Bangalore but again, his prior commitments had him booked for two months and neither of the two could wait for that long. Life changes within a moment, in that respect, two months certainly was a long time.

He got ready quickly, packed a light back with basic necessities, gulped down is strong-ass cold coffee and left, locking carefully the entire place. The cab didn't take much long to reach the very far airport owing to the low traffic intensity on Sunday mornings. Just in time he checked in for the departure which was scheduled for 9.20 am.

She had asked him to wake her up, to give her a wake-up call as soon as he checked into the airport. Reyan picked up his phone during the waiting time he had before his flight and called the number on top of his frequents, the one saved by the name Shivi.

The bell rang for a while but no one answered, "must have kept it on silent" Reyan thought, deciding to try another call in five minutes. Some impatience developed inside him for he didn't wish for a consequence wherein he's already landed in Udaipur and the person who he's come for has no track of time.

Just before he would try the second call, he received a message.

Shivi: GM, I am up.

Reyan gave a sigh of relief before replying: Good morning bub, you're late. My flight leaves in fifteen, get ready.

Shivi: ok.

The reply seemed a bit cold to him but Reyan self consoled, owing to the fact that this girl wasn't particularly fond of messaging.

Reyan: going off now, will call as soon as I land, see you.

By the time he was typing this message, he was already inside the flight preparing to take off. He switches off the phone, shuts his eyes to ease the pain of sleeplessness. Flashbacks follow about how his bond developed with Shivi.

They had barely been speaking for twenty days but the conversations the two had on call were unique to the extent they had them both confess mutual emotional weaknesses for each other, so this was the reason he couldn't wait to see her for two months, he had to see her this time.
