Night grasped the world again, as Maxim eyes opened slowly, his body wasn't in perfect conditions, but he definitely felt better then when he has woken up in the Inn, he began to get up, moon shining onto the floor from behind the glass, Maxim felt so uneasy being next to Eris, he slowly began to walk out of room, but as he was step from exiting, Eris has spoken.
-Sir?- He sounded as if he was more happy then scared- Sir, is that y-you?
-Eris, yes, why do you ask?- Maxim thought of not speaking, but he did for some reason.
In moments Eris got off the bed and run toward the Wolf, just to grab him in a manner that kids hold their teddy bears, but in the same time Maxim felt tears dripping onto his clothes.
-Sir, I thought you had run away, you were absent for a whole day and...- Eris tightened his grip on the Maxims body, as if he wanted to hurt him.
-You don't have to keep it in, let it out- Maxim said and rubbed the Bat's head.
But Eris stayed silent for a bit, with his tight grip on the Wolf, before he screamed into his chest, as loud as he could.
-Why do you have to disappear so often?! Why do you never stay here when you are clearly not suited for combat?! You think any of the townsfolk will say thank you, they hate you as much as they hate the "Wicked"- Eris's hand backed up a bit just to hit Maxim, but even thought that this was best Bat could do, it barely moved the Wolf, soon after that he slowly calmed and quietly added- I'm sorry, I didn't meant to h-hurt you...
-No, it's ok, I might have been too tough for you before, and... maybe you were right, but for now, I need to save you from my "thirst"- Wolf said as his mind was already getting foggy.
-Sir, as much as I believe that you only intent on doing your best, what do you intent on doing?- Bat asked and took a step back.
Wolf didn't answered, instead he turned on his heel and walked slowly to
the backroom, to the torture chamber, but as he was walking Bat was continuing to talk to him.
-Hiding in that c-cage is not good, I swear, I have an idea, it could help you!- Wolf was hearing him, but he didn't stopped walking, although he had stop before the doors, as pungent smell of decay, but even worse, the memories flood his mind.
As he coughed he started to hear Eris's words less, but instead he heard the yells of scared Cat-woman that was his last "subject" here.
-Please, I beg you!- The Cat said and cried in pain, as Mask held knife to her body, slowly cutting open her clothes, reviling her white fur with many black spots, while remaining silent- Please, I... I will give you all that I have, you know that my family owns a shop in the city!
Mask only leaned above Cat's body and said, maybe normally, but the mask magnified all the words that were coming out.
-Say, in hypothetical word, how much would you pay for the revenge?- as he said he took off all the clothes of the young femine body, he was maybe 26, from what he could see. She was in such shock, she didn't answered, but instead started to shake in fear, as Mask's fingers started to inspecting her body, his cold hands feeling all the muscles on her legs, arms and torso, but he was avoiding more "private" parts, he felt as if touch of those was worse than exile he already experienced- Speak, Wicked...
-I will do anything to take my revenge on you, bet on it- her tone changed suddenly, from pleading to anger.
-I thought so, Wicked monster, that's why you will be here only for couple more minutes, but I will at least make something useful out of your cursed flesh- Mask lifted a piece of cloth and soaked it in something that was in the bucket next to the table that Cat was chained to.
-What do you mean, you metalhead?- Cat said with anger, as a terrible thought passed her mind, one that he heard in rumors about the Mask- Sick fuck...
Mask started to rinced the cloth and slowly walked to be as close to the Cats face as he leaned to it.
-Oh, don't worry, even if I might sound as if may do something terrible, I want to help you, I call it re-humanitazation- Cat saw the Masks eyes, hidden under the metal plate- however, not everyone is chosen to be given back to rejoin us, some... end up in other ways.
As he said it, he shoved the cloth damped in mysterious liquid into Cat's mouth. She struggled to spit it out, but Mask held it in, making sure to push it as far as he could, maybe too far. Cat was slowly moving less and less, her vision becoming darker, and darker. as she stopped moving, her body was as now just an empty husk, but it haven't moved Mask in any way.
-You weren't one to rejoin us...
He said as he walked slowly to the table in the corner and noted something quickly, after which he came back and started to examine the body which was now his new test subject.
