Sarah shot up, looking around and noticing Freddy. "You SAW that right?!" She asked, her voice loud.
"Saw what? The train exploding? That was terrifying!" He said, looking at the slowly rising sun.
"..Yeah.That." Sarah said, she decided not to think about it too much.
The next day, the two spent their time chasing burglars and washing dishes, trying to earn enough money to fix the King's castle.
The two stopped by a TV store and looked through the window, what they saw was a crowd of humanoid beings protesting over the King "No Taxation without Representation!" The crowd cheered and held up their pick-it signs.
"I thought he said he'd stop taxing the villagers while we were making money!" Sarah yelled.
"There's nothing we can do about it now, we're too far away to have an impact on the king," Freddy exclaimed.
"You know, I HATE it when you're right." She commented "Mhm."
They finished their last job. They trailed off into the city, looking for a nice place to rest. "We've been looking for a decent hotel for hours!" Freddy complained. "Well, we could've slept in the woods but we didn't pack camping supplies!"
The two kept walking until they heard panicked screams, a crowd of people were running from a building, "Something's off." Sarah said. "OF course there is, people are running from a building!"
"N-No, it's not that," Sarah said, she pointed to the top of the building, it was covered in purple and black goop, the group spread across the sky, covering everything in darkness and shadows.
Freddy stood there, shaking. "We-we shouldn't have come here." The darkness spread across the streets, engulfing citizens. They crawled back out of the darkness, zombie-like creatures forming all over the citizens, eating on them turning into lifeless flesh bags roaming the streets.
They ran, the zombies chasing them along with the darkness. They ran into a building, running up the stairs.
Freddy fell, exhausted. "I-I can't breathe-" He wheezed. Sarah stopped in her tracks, she looked down the window, all she saw were zombified citizens. "It's fine, we can stay up here. They're miles away from us." She smiled.
Time passed, the streets were still filled with lifeless citizens, pure darkness covering the streets.
"I think its time to go." She grabbed Freddy and ran to the roof. "Why are we here? We can't JUMP off the roof! We'll die!" He exclaimed. Sarah's world spun around, she back in the darkness of her mind, she walked around in it endlessly, until she found something.
The mirror, she picked it up and a familiar scene appeared, the same figure flying around the theatre, the scene disappeared, the darkness disappeared. Sarah walked up to the edge of the roof. Freddy followed, confused.
"I know what to do." She said. She held Freddy's hand. She gestured him to jump. "What? Are you crazy?!" He yelled at her. "Just...TRUST me, Okay?!" She said. They stepped back a few times, and they charged to the edge of the roof. "WAIT WAIT WAIt-" Freddy stopped
Sarah sighed, they stepped back once more, they charged at the rooftop "Wait-!" He yelled. "Too late!" Sarah screamed, they jumped off the roof. Freddies screams drowned out as Sarah's world changed view, she was back in the darkness.
She held a harpoon spear in her hand, she looked at it with sudden anxiety, she was frightened by the object.
Butterflies swarmed the two, making a spherical bubble around them, Freddy gasped in awe and confusion.
